[WF2019] Theatrical Original Anime "LAIDBACKERS - Raidbackers", First Stage Report Arrives!!! The secret anime, its contents revealed...?

The official report from the kick-off event "'LAIDBACKERS-RAIDBACKERS' in Wonder Festival 2019", the first stage for "LAIDBACKERS-RAIDBACKERS-", which will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019 (Friday), has arrived.

LAIDBACKERS" is directed by Hiroyuki Hashimoto, director of "Is Your Order a Rabbit? and the script is written by Makoto Uezu of "Bless This Wonderful World! The character design is by Jiro Suzuki, who is also in charge of some of the character designs for "Sword Dance", and the animation is produced by Studio Gokumi of "Yuki Yuna wa Yuusha de Aruba". It is scheduled to be released on Friday, April 5, 2019.

The first event for the new anime "LAIDBACKERS- Raidbackers-" was held at the WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!!!29 booth in the "Wonder Festival 2019 [Winter]" held on February 10, 2019 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba, Japan.
This is the "last" theatrical original anime that will be released in theaters for a limited two-week period starting April 5, 2019. Taking the stage at the memorable first event were Rina Hidaka (Harami Mino), Maria Naganawa (Ran), Yumiri Hanamori (Kumi Motonenuma), Hiroyuki Hashimoto (director), and Makoto Uezu (script). In addition to the talk show, the first part of the show was shown to the audience only at the beginning of the show.

First of all, this is a completely original work with no TV series, so not much is known about its contents. The first keyword was "Gyakusoku" ("reverse" in Japanese), and the second keyword was "Gyakusoku" ("reverse" in Japanese), and the third keyword was "Gyakusoku" ("reverse" in Japanese).

The first keyword is "reverse" otherworldly reincarnation.
According to Director Hashimoto, this means "as it is," and the story begins with the reincarnation of heroes and demon kings into the present world, which is the "opposite" of the recently popular "otherworldly reincarnation" stories. The three cast members read out the synopsis of the story. ( #1 ) Hanamori and Hidaka read the story in a narration style, and the last line, "Will you collect the pieces of the Demon King with me? Apparently, the story begins when the Demon King, who has been fighting the heroes in another world, escapes to the present day Kyoto by "the art of reincarnation in another world," and the heroes, in order to chase after the Demon King, also came to the present day by "the art of reincarnation in another world. However, everyone failed to be reincarnated, the Demon King became an elementary school student, and the Princess Knight became a dog.... In many ways, a new life has begun. The heroes, including Harami (played by Hidaka), stay at a candy shop in Kyoto run by Kumi (played by Hanamori), where they solve various incidents caused by the "Demon King's Piece" by teaming up with their old enemy, the Demon King, and the heroes.

In the following corner, the characters were introduced with the keyword "Once a hero, now a NEET. This impressive phrase, which is also the catchphrase of the work, means "a story about people who have done very hard things and come to an unknown world to relax" (Uezu). The main character, Harami Mino, played by Hidaka, was once a brave and daring warrior, but in this world he has become a self-defeating NEET, a character who is truly "once a brave man, now a NEET. Other characters with rich personalities are Mai Maisaka (CV: Himika Akaneya), "once upon a time a martial artist, now an idol (You Tuber)," Kusanagi K (CV: Daichiha), "once upon a time a magician, now an otaku," and Ran, "once a demon king, now an elementary school student. When Arnelia (CV: Yumi Uchiyama), the strong visual impact of her appearance caused the audience to be momentarily surprised. Kumi Motonenuma, played by Hanamori, is the only normal person among the main characters. She is an art college student living in Kyoto and the owner of a candy shop. She is the owner of a candy shop and an art college student living in Kyoto. She is now the landlord of Harami and her friends, and is a hard worker.

The first part of the film will be screened exclusively at this event to give viewers a chance to experience the world of "LAIDBACKERS," which is woven by these characters. The four-minute video, which had only just been completed, was shown at the fastest speed in the world. The audience was able to fully enjoy Harami's cool and heroic appearance, but he said, "No, no, I'm not like this!　He's not really this cool!" (Hidaka), so we will have to wait until the film's release to see what Harami will actually do.

In the latter half of the event, the three cast members were given quiz questions, and depending on the number of correct answers, fans were given posters signed by the cast members. The first question was from director Hashimoto, who asked the audience to "answer the synonyms of the following words" in reference to "Gyaku" Isekai Tensei (reverse reincarnation). The two answered "stray dog" to "domesticated dog" (Hidaka) and "Western dog" to "Japanese dog" (Naganawa). (The correct answer was "a great dog"). After showing his skill in the art of comedy, Uezu asked the second question about "dagashi," or fancy sweets, in reference to the "dagashiya" that is the setting of the film. The question was to answer one type of umaibou, a staple of the candy shop, for each contestant. However, Hidaka was unable to answer any of the questions due to the large number of answers given by Hanamori and Naganawa alone. ...... How will this result affect the number of gifts? In the final question, "What is the purpose of the Gozan-no-Okuribi, a festival in Kyoto?" The three participants discussed the question and came up with the final answer, "The character for 'big' is a dying message. The present campaign is being held on the official Twitter until Friday, the 15th. Please check the official Twitter to see how many people will receive the gifts as a result of the deliberation!

The event came to an end in the blink of an eye with the announcement that the official novelization would be released on April 1 from Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko as a first release information.

I think everyone at the dubbing studio was looking in the same direction and having fun while dubbing. I can say with confidence that this is a fun film, so please look forward to its release!
