─ What did you think when you read the script about the decision to make a movie?

Sakurai:
First of all, I wondered what kind of story it would be. This is a work where anything goes. In a sense, it transcends death. In a sense, it transcends death. I was hoping that it would be a work like a royal road movie, with emotion and laughter, and Iam glad that the story has hit exactly those points! I like it!

About the theme song

Dram Ami:
When I heard that I was going to sing the theme song for the movie version of "Osomatsu-san," I was surprised that it would be me, but I was very honored. This is a very popular work, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to live up to the expectations of the fans, but since I was going to be in charge of the song, Idecided to write the lyrics as well, and I put my heart and soul into it. I am very excited to have everyone listen to it today, butI am looking forward totheir reaction.I was very happy to hearMr. Sakurai, Director Fujita, and Mr. Matsubara compliment me on my song backstage earlier, saying that it was very good(laughs).

─ What would you say to your 18-year-old self if you saw her?

Dream Ami:
When I was 18, I was already doing this job, but I spent all my time playing futsal. I played in league gamesand really looked forward to the prizes I would receive when I won a game. If I had my life back then, Iwould tell myself that I wouldwin the league championship.

Sakurai:
At the time, I was just living day after day without a vision, and had not yet decided on my future. But Idecidedto become a voice actor at the age of 18.If I could have seen myself back then, I would have told myself to hang in there and that I would make it.

What I kept in mind when I made the film

Matsubara:
A movie is a long film, and the TV series has such a sense of time that it ends as soon as it begins, soI felt I had to create a story that theaudience would enjoy.I wanted to joke around a lot (laughs).

Director:
The TV series is full of surrealistic gags and slapstick. For the movie, Iwanted toinclude all of them rather than just one or the other.

─ ─ One last word.

Sakurai: I am very happy that this day has come. This film is not about making the world a better place or saving the world, butI think it is awork that will make everyone smile.I hope you will enjoy watching it.
