SQUARE ENIX released "OCTOPATH TRAVELER Arrangements - Break & Boost -," the first arrangement album CD for the company's popular RPG "OCTOPATH TRAVELER," today, February The album was released on February 20 (Wed.).

The game is a completely new RPG for Nintendo Switch released in July 2018, in which players select one of eight main characters from different birthplaces and different journey objectives, and play through the game's 3DCG, old-fashioned dots, and distinctive effects in "HD-2D." Players will choose one of eight protagonists, each with a different origin and purpose in life, and explore the fantastic world of the Orstera continent, depicted in "HD-2D," a combination of 3DCG, traditional dots, and distinctive effects.

The eight main characters have their own unique "field commands" that allow them to approach almost any townspeople, such as challenging them to a fight, stealing their belongings, seducing them, or asking them for information, and they also have the ability to detect enemy weaknesses at the start of a battle, unlock unique treasure chests, mix materials to heal or attack, and even to use their own weapons. Each player has his or her own "unique actions," such as detecting enemy weaknesses at the start of battle, unlocking unique treasure chests, and mixing materials to heal and attack, allowing for a unique role-playing experience.

The battle system is based on the command battles that many RPG fans are familiar with, with "Breaks" that strike the enemy's weak points to neutralize them, and "Command Boosts" that increase the number of attacks and the power of abilities by consuming BP (boost points) that accumulate as turns pass. The unique "Command Boost" battle system increases the number of attacks and the power of abilities by consuming BP (boost points) that accumulate over the course of a turn. By combining these features, players can enjoy strategic and exhilarating battles.

The first "OCTOPATH TRAVELER" arrangement album CD was released today, February 20 (Wednesday)! Under the complete supervision of composer Yasutomo Nishiki, popular songs are newly arranged in two different directions: the "Break Side" with a small piano group and the "Boost Side" with a small band.
