2019 Spring Anime "The Sage's Son" Key Visual Revealed! Broadcasting begins on 4/10!

A key visual for the TV anime "The Wise Son," which will begin in April 2019 on ABC TV, TOKYO MX, AT-X, and BS11, has been revealed. In addition, the broadcast date and additional cast members have been announced.

The Sage's Son" (written by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka, illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi) is a popular work published by Famitsu Bunko, with volumes 1 to 8 and 1-2 of the Gaiden (outside story), and 7 volumes of the comic book series, selling over 1.5 million copies in total. A young man who was supposedly killed in an accident is reborn as a baby in another world, where the "naive" and "out-of-this-world" protagonist leads an otherworldly fantasy life.
The anime staff includes Masafumi Tamura as director, Tatsuya Takahashi as series composition, and Yuki Sawairi as character design. Yuki Sawairi is in charge of character design. The animation production company is SILVER LINK.

The key visual released depicts Shin, his foster parents Merlin the Wise and Merida the Conductor, the heroine Sicily and other friends they meet at school, and the mysterious teacher Strom, who smiles wryly, behind them, against the background of the gate magic that allows Shin to move through space, which has surprised everyone.

The fastest broadcast will be on April 10 (Wed.) at 23:30 on AT-X. dAnime Store will start streaming from 24:00 on the same day, and TOKYO MX and BS11 will start broadcasting on April 11.

The additional cast members that Shin will meet at Ars Hyde Institute of Advanced Magic have all been announced. The cast includes Miyu Kubota as Alice Conner, Yusa Shida as Thor von Flögel, Ai Yamaguchi as Lynn Hughes, Juri Nagatsuma as Yuri Carlton, Chiaki Kobayashi as Tony Frade, Keisuke Kawamoto as Julius von Rittenheim, Shota Hayama as Mark Bean Shota Hayama and Saya Sato will play the roles of Mark Bean, Julius von Rittenheim, and Olivia Stone, respectively.
