Resident Evil RE:2" ships 4 million units worldwide!

Capcom announced that "Resident Evil RE:2" for PS4/Xbox One/PC, the latest title in the "Resident Evil" series, has shipped 4 million units worldwide.

The "Resident Evil" series is a survival horror game in which players attempt to escape from a horrific tragedy by using weapons and items. It still enjoys enthusiastic support from around the world.

The latest title in the series, "Resident Evil RE:2," is a reimagining of "Resident Evil 2" (released in January 1998), which sold 4.96 million copies, the fourth highest total in the series' history, for current-generation consoles, utilizing the latest development environment.

In addition to the high-definition, photo-realistic graphics and other visual effects created by the company's latest game engine, RE ENGINE, the game offers players a new and terrifying experience through aural approaches such as Dolby Atmos, which supports 7.1.4 channels, and real-time sound image changes that make full use of binaural technology. The result is a terrifying experience for players.
