Spring 2019 Anime is here! Akiba Research Institute's 10 recommendations!

Before we know it, February will be over. In just one month, the spring season of anime will start one after another.

However, as is typical, there are more than 50 titles on the lineup, which may leave many people wondering, "Which anime should I watch in the end? There must be many people who are at a loss as to which anime to watch in the end. Akiba Research Institute has selected 10 titles that we recommend and anticipate!

Let us introduce you to the works that you can be sure to watch for now!

ULTRAMAN

The national special effects hero "Ultraman" appears as a 3DCG anime. Susumu Hayata, a member of the Science Special Search Party, once saved the Earth. His son, Shinjiro, will protect the earth with the light factor and metallic reinforced suit he inherited from his father.

The hero of this film is a life-size hero, which is not surprising, and his problems are also life-size. What kind of drama will Shinjiro, who lived his life as an ordinary high school student, be able to show us?

The film is directed by Kenji Kamiyama, director of the "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C." series and "Princess Hirune: The Unknown Watashi no Monogatari," and Shinji Aramaki, director of "APPLESEED" and "Starship Troopers: Red Planet. The tag team of Japan's leading creators has created a new image of a hero.

Carol & Tuesday

The latest film by Shinichiro Watanabe, director of "Cowboy Bebop," "Samurai Champloo," and many other masterpieces, is a collaboration between Eisaku Kubonouchi, known for his character designs for the Nissin Foods Cup Noodle commercials "HUNGRY DAYS The Witch's Delivery Service" and "HUNGRY DAYS Heidi the Alps Girl" and other works. The screenplay is by Aya Watanabe, who has worked on NHK's television series "Carnation" and the movie "Josee, the Tiger and the Fish. The music, an important element of the story, is produced by Flying Dog. A number of international artists are scheduled to provide music for the film.

Director Watanabe is known to be more particular about music than others and uses it very impressively in the film. He is known to use music in his films in a very impressive way. He started this film when he approached Mr. Minami, the president of BONES, with the idea of doing an original music animation. We can't wait to see what kind of drama will unfold.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Night Before the ORIGIN, The Red Comet

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the legendary robot animation "Mobile Suit Gundam. Based on the comic "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Night Before the One Year War," which was created by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the series, this film is a re-edited 13-episode TV series based on the six-episode theatrical film that depicted the eve of the One Year War.

The story, however, eventually progresses to the beginning of the One Year War, and the Battle of Loum, which until now had only been filmed in fragments, is now shown in the film.

The characters, who are based on the original story, and the powerful mobile suits depicted in CG are well worth watching. Nothing would make me happier than to be able to watch it every week on TV. ......

The theme song is sung by the rock band LUNA SEA. The ending theme is produced by SUGIZO, a member of the band. It is going to open up a new world of Gundam in terms of sound as well.

The Wise Son

The "otherworldly reincarnation" genre has become a popular staple. This popular work is now getting an anime adaptation.

The main character, who was supposed to have died in an accident, is reborn as a baby in another world. By combining his memories of his previous life and the magical knowledge he learned from his grandfathers, who were wise men, he is able to create out-of-the-ordinary magic and magical tools. He is a perfect superhuman who is also skilled in the physical arts, and he is admitted to the Academy of Magic with the highest honors. After defeating demons early on, he soon finds himself in a battle to protect the world.

This work is stress-free and enjoyable with its "I TUEEEE! We can't wait to see what he can do!

Strike Witches: Unit 501 is about to launch!

The spin-off work of the popular anime "Strike Witches" has been long-awaited to be adapted into an anime! Yoshika Miyafuji enlists in the 501st Joint Combat Wing, humanity's line of defense. She throws herself into the battle against the Neuroi to protect mankind......, but the enemy never appears and she is forced to spend her days doing the cooking and laundry.

This work, which depicts the daily lives of the witches we have always wanted to see, is sure to be enjoyable in a relaxed mood.

Sarazammai

This work is directed by Kunihiko Ikuhara, a.k.a. "Ikuni," who has created numerous hits such as "Utena: Revolutionary Girl" and "Rinru Ping Drum," and is produced by MAPPA and "Yuri! on ICE" and Lapin Truck of "Yurikuma Arashi" will jointly produce this original animation.

Set in Asakusa, three boys who have been transformed into Kappa struggle to find a zombie's buttock ball in order to return to their original form! Such is the strange and kitchy plot of this work, but that's Ikuni for you. It is not just a weird anime, but a grand trick.

Re-watch it again and again to decipher the message hidden in it.
