Blu-ray BOX of the TV anime "Dororo" will be released on May 22! Collaboration event between anime and stage will be held this summer!

It was announced that the Blu-ray box set of the TV anime "Dororo," which has been airing on TOKYO MX (from 22:00) and other stations since January 7 (Monday), will be released on May 22. It was also announced that a collaboration event between the anime and the stage will be held in the suburbs of Tokyo this summer.

The TV anime adaptation of "Dororo", the unfinished masterpiece by Osamu Tezuka, the god of manga, has already been announced by Twin Engine, a production company established in 2014 by Koji Yamamoto, the former editor-in-chief of Fuji Television's "Noitamina" anime slot. (January 7, 2019) at 10:00 p.m. and on BS11 at 24:30 p.m. on the same day. The first episode is being distributed on Amazon Prime Video from January 6, 2019 (Sun.) around 24:00 prior to the TV broadcast.

A Blu-ray BOX of the TV anime "Dororo", which has been airing on TOKYO MX (22:00-) and other popular TV stations since January 7 (Monday), has been announced.

The Blu-ray BOX will consist of two volumes, the upper and lower volumes, and will include the one-cool episode broadcast from January (episodes 1 to 12) in the upper volume and the one-cool episode broadcast from April (episodes 13 to 24) in the lower volume. The upper volume will be released on May 22 (Wed.) and the lower volume on August 21 (Wed.).

At the same time, it was also announced that a collaboration event between the anime and the stage will be held in the suburbs of Tokyo this summer.
The first production of the first volume of the Blu-ray BOX will include a special anime advance purchase lottery ticket for this event.
The jackets of each volume will be newly illustrated by Satoshi Iwataki, character designer.
Video extras include interviews with the lead actors, Suzuki Hiroki and Suzuki Rio, interviews with director Furuhashi Kazuhiro and other staff members, a close-up look at MAPPA, the main production studio, as well as footage from an advance screening event and other gorgeous content in length.
The special booklet that will be included in the package will contain many valuable production materials used in the production of the full-length film, and it has been decided that the upper volume will contain a facsimile storyboard of the first episode, and the lower volume will contain a facsimile storyboard of the final 24th episode.
