Pokémon Inc. announced that "Pokémon Sword" and "Pokémon Shield" for Nintendo Switch will be released in winter 2019.

Pokémon Sword" and "Pokémon Shield" are completely new titles in the series that continues from "Pokémon Red and Green". In this title, a new adventure will unfold, in a new setting and with new Pokémon.

A special video introducing the world of "Pokémon Sword Shield," the "Galal Region" where the adventures take place, and the first three Pokémon that will be your partners in the adventures have been released.

The "Galal Region" where the adventures take place!
The adventures of "Pokémon Sword" and "Pokémon Shield" take place in the "Galal Region. It is a vast region with a variety of landscapes, from peaceful countryside and modern cities to magnificent grasslands and steep snow-covered mountains. Here, people and Pokémon live together and cooperate to develop industry. The main character visits "gyms" scattered throughout the Garal region, aiming to become the champion he has always wanted to be.
