Arcade version of "BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE" reveals battle styles of new characters!
Arc System Works has released new information on new characters that will be entering the "BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE," which is scheduled to launch at amusement arcades nationwide in the spring of 2019.
BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE" is the latest title in the company's popular "BLAZBLUE" fighting game series. Major characters from "Persona 4 The ULTIMATE in MAYONAKA ARENA", "Under Night Inverse", and the 3DCG anime "RWBY" (!?) will be participating in this title. The main characters from "Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena," "Under Night in Verses," and the 3DCG anime "RWBY" (!?) will participate. The game allows players to enjoy dream tag-team battles that transcend the boundaries between works. The game is a "2-on-2" game in which two characters fight as a tag team. The game features a "Smart Combo" system that allows players to perform combos with a series of button presses, and "Partner Skill" and "Partner Combo" systems that allow players to control their partner to automatically attack in accordance with the character they are controlling.

■Points-based Credit
This title adopts a point system, doing away with the one-credit, one-play system used in the fighting game series to date. Players can choose from the following match modes by spending play points: "Nationwide Matchups: Win-No-Win," "Fixed Number of Matches," or "In-Store Matchups. The points consumed differ depending on the rules selected, allowing players to enjoy the match mode that best suits their style.
*Credit specifications are under development and may be subject to change in the final version.
■Rematch Application Matchups
Defeated players can apply for a rematch after the match is over. In the "Nationwide Matchups: Winner takes all" and "In-store Matchups," players receive 50 points. In the "Fixed Number of Bouts," rematches are treated as a single match, and when the number of remaining matches reaches 0, rematches are no longer possible.
*Changing characters is not possible during rematches.
■Straight Win Limit
A win streak limit is set in the "Nationwide Matchups: Win-Loss System". When the win streak limit is reached, the game will end even if the player wins the match. Also, if an opponent reaches the win-loss limit, the player cannot choose to apply for a rematch.
When cards are used: Up to 10 consecutive wins When cards are not used: Up to 3 consecutive wins

Nationwide Battle: Win-to-win system
In the "Winner-takes-all" mode, players can enjoy online battles with players from all over Japan, and as long as they do not lose a match and have not reached the win-loss limit, they can play consecutively. In addition, players can enjoy Sparkling Mode (CPU battle) until an opponent is found.
Fixed Number of Bouts
In the "Fixed Number of Matches" mode, players can play a specified number of matches regardless of whether they win or lose. Depending on the points consumed, players can choose from "Guaranteed 3 matches," "Guaranteed 6 matches," or "Guaranteed 9 matches.
In-Store Matchups
In-store Battle" allows players to play against rivals in the same store. While waiting for a match, you can play sparring mode (CPU battle) in the same way as in the National Championship. If there are players waiting for an in-store match, the number of players will be displayed on the title screen and main menu.
