The light of smiles connecting memories of tomorrow without Wake Up, Girls! FINAL TOUR -HOME-" Sendai Chishu-rakura performance day/night report

The last live tour "Wake Up, Girls! FINAL TOUR -HOME-" of the voice actress unit Wake Up, Girls! Here is a report from the daytime and nighttime of the Chishu-rakura performance on February 24.

The performance was attended by Wake Up, Girls! members Maasuke Yoshioka, Airi Nagano, Mimi Tanaka, Yoshinoh Aoyama, Nanami Yamashita, Kaya Okuno, and Misuke Takagi.

Wake Up, Girls! is a voice actor unit formed by successful applicants of the "avex x 81produce Wake Up, Girls! AUDITION 2nd Animation Song Vocal Audition" held in 2013. The successful candidates of the audition were guaranteed to debut as main cast members of the anime "Wake Up, Girls!

After six years, the voice actress unit Wake Up, Girls! will disband on March 8, 2019 with "Wake Up, Girls! FINAL LIVE ~Memoide no Parade~" at Saitama Super Arena. FINAL TOUR -HOME-" is the biggest live tour in the history of the girls, with 33 performances at 12 venues, and the final performance will be in Sendai, the sacred city where the anime "Wake Up, Girls!

Before the start of the live performance, a narration was given by the characters played by the seven members. The script was written by Ms. Yoshioka, the center of WUG. Ms. Yoshioka also wrote the pre-show narration for WUG's first live tour, "Wake Up, Girls! also wrote the narration before the show started. This time, the seven idols introduced various attractions of Sendai, including the pedestrian deck in front of Sendai Station, Sendai Tanabata, the Pageant of Starlight, Cafe Bijou, Mitsubachi, Tenpari, and Kumagaya in the daytime session. In the evening session, the famous places such as Kotodai Park, Beef tongue which varies from store to store, Akiu Onsen, and other places related to WUG were featured. While lovingly portraying the characters, there is a good sense of balance with the occasional "inside" spilling out as a story.

In this shadow narration, the audience was repeatedly told about the "future" of WUG. We want to come back to Sendai again; the seven of us have aged just like everyone else. Memories and souls will continue, and as long as there are memories and thoughts in someone's mind, it will be an eternal record. Those were the words of determination and wish to show, at the last live of the tour, the everlasting memory of Wake Up, Girls!

Before the show began, Kuniyoshi Ota (CV: Hiro Shimono), the representative of Wagner in the work, gave a notice to the Wagners who were to share in the excitement of the live performance. Even if you are not familiar with the "Wake Up, Girls!" anime, you must have seen the image of Kuniyoshi Ota, "a fat otaku waving a green light while shedding tears incessantly.

From backstage, the voices of the seven WUG members echoed in a circle. The leader of the group, Ms. Aoyama, led the group. In the afternoon session, her voice was a little subdued and tense as she said, "On the last day in Sendai, let's deliver our thoughts to everyone. In the evening session, she shouted as if she was going to pour out all of her thoughts and feelings. Let's go, go, go, Wake Up, Girls!

The seven members appeared on stage in TUNAGO costumes. The green lines on the skirts and the flower crowns were elements of the past WUG costumes, which were created through the members' opinions and ideas. The opening songs were "Shoujo Symphony" and "Bare Faces and KISS ME". These two songs were related to "Wake Up, Girls! The Movie: Seishun no Kage". The girls' formation and dance moves were so perfectly aligned that it was almost frightening, and one could tell that the girls had been further trained through their long journey of 33 performances. On the other hand, on the vocal side, Ms. Yoshioka sang with an inner passion, and Ms. Aoyama's solo on "Bare Faces and Kiss Me" was so sharp that it could cut you if you touched it.

The opening remarks were as usual for the daytime session, as a fun and relaxed WUG. The evening session had a slightly more special nuance to it. Here are some of the words from the evening session.

Ms. Takagi: "This is our 33rd performance. We have really run through it! I think WUG, the staff, and Wagner have all worked together to make this performance what it is."

Ms. Yamashita: "As Shimada Mayumu said, there are three types of people who can make others happy. Those who can make people close to them happy. Those who can make many people in the world happy. Those who can make themselves happy. I hope to achieve all three in this evening's performance!

Tanaka: "I feel relieved that I can do it together with everyone. Please shout and squeeze through today with no regrets. Thank you very much!

Mr. Yoshioka: "Once again, this view is not a matter of course. I am deeply moved when I think that this is a view that is only available now. You guys are the one piece of a wonderful miracle. Thank you. It's the last one, are you ready to turn to ashes!"

Ms. Nagano "In my limited life, I am proud to be able to live this moment with you all, and I hope to make wonderful memories and exchange smiles with you all."

Ms. Okuno: "How are you all? Last night, I couldn't sleep well, because I was so anxious for today to come. But, it's because the time never comes when you can lose it (a verse from "Into The Light"). So I will do my best to live these few hours that I share with all of you here.

Ms. Aoyama: "Everyone, I am fine! Please use up all your energy and go home like wilted carrots. I'm going to be squeezed out of you today!

The third and fourth songs were "7 Girls War", the OP theme and "Kotonoha Aoba", the ED theme of the TV anime "Wake Up, Girls! The smooth flow of Ms. Nagano's break dance during the interlude of "7 Girls War" was well established, with Ms. Yoshioka receiving Ms. Nagano's microphone and quickly returning it to her after Ms. Nagano's break dance. Kotonoha Aoba" has a choreography of passing on something important, and this time the seven members sitting on the stairs connected the relay of their feelings.

In the evening performance, these two songs were replaced by "7 Senses," the OP theme and "Shizuku no Kanna" the ED theme of the TV anime "Wake Up, Girls! The new chapter songs were chosen to overlap the motifs of the OPED of the old chapter, and the composition was set for both day and night. What was surprising here was that Ms. Tanaka sang in a way that made the audience burst with emotion, as she herself said during the MC, even though she is known for her accurate singing that is close to the way she sings when recording. At the Sendai performance, Ms. Yoshioka, who sang in the center of the group, seemed to take on a certain air of intensity, or perhaps her inner feelings were so intense that they seemed to stick out at times. The change in Ms. Tanaka's singing during this song reminded me of the phrase from the lyrics of "7 Senses": "Even if one of us goes out of control, we have prepared to go on. Your voice that makes me smile will make us more daring.

Ms. Nagano's full, dreamy expression as she received the light and energy of the venue with her whole body. The way Ms. Okuno and Mr. Tanaka looked at each other with their fists in the air. The air and energy of the chorus of the entire venue, as if they were welcoming the grand finale, was the climax of the third song.

The fifth and sixth songs were tie-in songs. The daytime session featured "Bokura no Frontier" and "One In A Billion. Bokura no Frontier" is the ED theme song of the TV anime "Shakunetsu no Takkyu Musume" and it is a song that paved the way for WUG to take a new approach to sing the theme song of other works as a voice cast unit. Ms. Tanaka, who played the role of Agari Ueya in the same work, stood comfortably in the center of the stage and sang the song. One In A Billion" is a song performed by the special collaboration unit Wake Up, May'n! At the beginning of this tour, the seven members seemed to be full of enthusiasm to produce the best output by themselves, not letting anyone say that they could not do it without May'n, but now that they reached the final, I could feel their confidence and certainty that this was "One In A Billion" sung by the seven of them. It was dazzling to see Aoyama-san and Yoshioka-san laughing with their hands on each other's shoulders.

In the evening session, the tie-in corners were "Sukino Skill" and "Love? and "Love? and "Love? and "Love? The first part of "Sukino Skill" started with Ms. Okuno's solo. The song is one of Ms. Okuno's best-known songs, and she looks great in her "Sukino Skill" outfit. The other center of this song was Ms. Nagano. Ms. Nagano's performance today was outstanding. Auri Hayashida herself, singing in her cutest voice and sounding steady in her solo, made me feel that she must have opened my eyes during this tour. It was impressive to see everyone laughing as they sang, and Ms. Takagi, smiling and mouthing phrases other than her own part, remained in my memory. I remember the song "Love? and love? and I'm a tyrant! is the OP theme of the special TV anime "Love Tyrant," in which Ms. Aoyama starred as Guri. It was a fun and enjoyable performance that could be called the trump card of WUG as a unit.

The Sendai project corner starred Ms. Nagano, a native of the local Sendai area. In her solo dance performance, she danced to "U.S.A." in the daytime and "overture" in the evening. U.S.A." is a DA PUMP song that dominated last year. Ms. Nagano looked happy as she danced to the song with the voice of "CARMON BABY WUG-chan! Ms. Nagano showed a happy dance to the voice of "CARMON BABY WUG-chan! However, it was in the evening performance of "overture" that the true spirit of dancer Airi Nagano could be seen. This song is the theme BGM played when the I-1 club appeared in the TV anime "Wake Up, Girls! Because this song is an original piece with no model dance, I was able to enjoy to my heart's content the sharpness and flair of Ms. Nagano's dance as she danced wildly and instinctively.

At this point, Ms. Tanaka and Mr. Takagi joined Ms. Nagano, who had finished dancing for the daytime session, to perform "Tight Low Planaway. This song is a live-only song that originated from the tour, and the way it spins around and the way the skirt flutters around suits the TUNAGO costumes well. In the evening session, Ms. Yoshioka, Ms. Aoyama, Ms. Yamashita, and Ms. Okuno performed "outlander rhapsody". The unusual combination of Ms. Yamashita and Mr. Yoshioka sharing solo parts could only be achieved by a four-member ensemble. Ms. Yamashita was in tears for almost the entire evening, but she never lost her voice or her MC.

Tight Low Planaway" and "Outlander Rhapsody" were both choreographed by Ms. Nagano. I guess this means that here she showed Airi Nagano as a choreographer. These two songs are associated with the image of "summer" when the seven members toured with Wagner every year.

And "minority emotions," "Heartline," and "Sakura-iro Crescendo" were all about the seasons with cherry blossoms as a motif. The lyrics of "minority emotions," "only one light shines in orange," remind me of the story of Sendai's famous winter "Pageant of Light," in which only one pink light is mixed among the 600,000 illuminations. The lyrics remind me of the story of the "Pageant of Light," a famous winter event in Sendai. The song goes from a longing for the cherry blossoms that will eventually bloom to a song about cherry blossoms in full bloom. Thanks to all of you, the cherry blossoms have bloomed in winter in Sendai.

The girl who had gained confidence by finding her own unique weapons of dance and choreography, and finally showed the power of her charming singing voice with the character on her back, showed the accumulation of what she has done so far. In "Sakura-iro Crescendo," the last song Ms. Nagano wanted to show, a message movie from the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, Sendai Omotenashi Group and Date Busyoutai, Tabi no Recipe, Cafe Bijou, and Kumagaya, the supposed birthplace of Ai Hayashida, was shown on the screen from the second number.

In the daytime session, Ms. Nagano delivered her thanks to Wagner with Sendai on her shoulders. In the evening session, at the beginning of the message movie, Mr. Nagano turned his back and carried the Wagners on his back to express his gratitude to Sendai. Thank you so much, everyone in Sendai! Thank you so much!

At this point, a movie looking back on Airi Nagano's past was played on the stage. The members featured in the movie changed depending on the day, but Ms. Nagano would be the only one to decorate the Sendai's Chikyuu-rakubu. At the end of the movie, the words "TODAY'S PRINCESS" were written.

HIGAWARI PRINCESS" is a song in which the main "princess" changes depending on the live performance, and the princess is often a local member. Today's princess is, of course, Airi Nagano. Originally, the song used a golden walking stick as an item, but for the final tour, an umbrella with a stick-shaped handle was used; the six members used white umbrellas, while the princesses used pink umbrellas. The Princesses' umbrellas looked like cherry blossoms in bloom, which beautifully connected the image from Ms. Nagano's planning corner. Ms. Nagano stood at the bottom of the upper stage and the six stood at the top of the lower stage, and the sight of one and six singing together was memorable.

Agape of a 16-Year-Old" is an impressive song with Ms. Nagano's solo part, but I think she used to have a more simple singing voice. On this day, Ms. Nagano's spontaneous and beautiful voice reminded me of a more mature Ai Hayashida, who has grown up with Ai Hayashida on her back. Ms. Nagano, who all the members say is the most reliable member of the group, shined as the star and the princess at the last live performance in Sendai.

After the project corner, the audience changed into costumes for the jacket of the best album "Wake Up, Best! Since the album contains four new songs, the audience was treated to separate performances of the new songs on the first day and night and on the second day and night. The daytime performance of the final day was "Saturday's Flight. Because the song evokes the image of the morning after "the end," it resonates with more special meaning on this day, the final day of the Chikyuu-rakura. The final decision of the seven members staring diagonally upward in the same direction remained in my memory.

The evening performance was "Sayonara no Parade," a song that could not be performed anywhere else. The basic posture with hands gently on the chest, the image of a flower opening on stage, and the choreography of many past songs scattered throughout the choreography were impressive. The phrase "I want to leave memories in a dystopia without light, with light" was connected to the many words of the shadowy narration at the beginning of the performance.

The last three songs of the last part of the show, "Beyond the Bottom," "Tachiagare! TUNAGO" cannot be separated from the land of Sendai and the beginning of "Wake Up, Girls! Wake Up, Girls!" was started with the intention of supporting the Tohoku region and Sendai's recovery from the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Beyond the Bottom," the last song in "Wake Up, Girls! The Movie: Beyond the Bottom," depicts what lies beyond the depths of despair. Tachiagare! is the beginning of the work, the theatrical version of "Wake Up, Girls ! is a prayer and a message to the Tohoku region, which was released at the opening of the film version of the movie "Wake Up, Girls!

TUNAGO" is a song about the bonds among the six prefectures of Tohoku that sings of recovery in 2017, when the wounds of the earthquake have finally begun to heal. From "Beyond the Bottom" to "Tachiagare! and "TUNAGO". The setlist of the current Wake Up, Girls! live show is composed largely based on the members' own opinions. As a "voice actress unit," Wake Up, Girls! closed the tour with a message to the Tohoku region. That was the choice of the seven members who had spent six years since their debut.

For encore, the seven members appeared on stage to the endless calls for "Wake Up, Girls!" and performed "Polaris," a song symbolizing "Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter," for which they had spun the lyrics themselves. The audience, which had been dyed deep red by Yoshioka's solo part, quickly turned back to the seven colors of the members' colors as if they were dispersing.

Subway Labyrinth" was the first original live song for the voice actress unit Wake Up, Girls! The song is led by the smiling Ms. Takagi, who jumps around the beginning of the song with energy. And the evolution of this song, which is unique to the current WUG, is the magnificent composition of the rap part, which is built up by the call-and-response with the audience. It was a form of finale where the members and Wagners shared their thoughts and feelings with all their might, cheerfully and happily enjoying the moment.

The final greeting for the night part of the Chikyuu-roku concert. Few people would have expected this moment to end with a smile on the faces of the seven members and the audience. I think it was Mr. Takagi who led the atmosphere. Ask any of the members, and they will tell you that Mr. Takagi is the biggest crybaby of them all. But on the final night of the event, he was so full of smiles that I could sense his strong determination not to cry from the very beginning of the event. Crying is perfectly acceptable. However, I hoped that she would do her best so that she could take pride in the fact that she decided not to cry and ran through the concert with a smile on her face. In the evening session, Ms. Takagi said, "Today was definitely the happiest day of my life, thank you very much! I thought that I have never been in a unit where people loved me so much. I thought there is such a thing as happiness. It was the best memory of my life," she said, running through to the end.

The youngest son, a crybaby, did his best with a smile on his face, which naturally made the other members stand taller as well. Yamashita quoted from his opening remarks and asked the audience, friends, and staff if they were happy. The answer was a smile in full bloom and cheers from the audience. After listening to them, Yamashita concluded, "I was very happy myself! he concluded. Tanaka spoke of the miracle that no one was left out of the 33 shows and said, "It was so much fun, thanks to all of you. I'm glad I'm Wake Up, Girls! I'm so glad I met you all! she said.

Ms. Okuno happily declared, "I'll skip Ms. Nagano and go to Watashi! he declared happily. It was interesting that Ms. Nagano was seriously surprised, "Why? Mr. Nagano was seriously surprised, which was amusing. Ms. Okuno said, "There will be no WUG tour from next year, but I hope people will remember WUG when they are down and watch our live DVDs and so on. said, and all seven members greeted the future Wagners on the other side of the video camera. As the seven of them rushed to the camera and were within the same camera's angle of view, Takagi-san hit the microphone with a "Gong! and hit the microphone somewhere, and the air became lighter all at once, which was truly miraculous. Laughing about it, Okuno-san said, "I feel so strange right now, and I'm glad I'm laughing at the end of the tour. It's thanks to all of you, thank you. Thank you! and concluded by saying, "See you again at Saitama Super Arena.

Aoyama said, "It's so strange that I am laughing at the end of the tour, too," and revealed that she had been on the verge of tears from the beginning of the concert. However, "I'm cuter with a smile than with a crying face, aren't I?" She then calmly declared to her friends and the audience, "I think my smile is prettier than my crying face. I have no regrets because today was the best WUG-chan I've ever seen, and I believe that everyone for whom today's live will be their last, you and I, will have no regrets. With this feeling in my heart, I will renew the best more and more at Saitama Super Arena. Absolutely, please follow me!" he declared in high spirits as the leader of WUG.

It was a little bit strange that the members who usually cry did not cry and those who do not cry cried. In that sense, it was most surprising to everyone, and perhaps most surprising to Yoshioka herself, that she broke down in tears during her closing speech. She said, "I have decided since WUG started that I would not cry until the end of WUG," but she broke down in tears like a child. I can only imagine the reason for that, and I won't describe the words that spilled out. After releasing her feelings in front of Wagner and the others, she said with a weight lifted from her face, "I'm done crying. It's my job to make everyone smile. Did you have fun? Did you have as much fun as I did? I'm really happy now to hear your voice. Thank you! The dignified way she cried out "Thank you very much!

The last performer was, of course, Mr. Nagano. Ms. Nagano began her speech by thanking the audience for having witnessed the performance in Sendai. It was very typical of Ms. Nagano to express her love and gratitude for Sendai and the Tohoku region even when she was the main performer, and to ask the audience to continue to love her even after the unit was over. As long as Wake Up, Girls! is blooming in your hearts, it will always be Wake Up, Girls! Thank you so much for going through the HOME tour with us. I had so much fun today!" (After the greeting, the group went on to the last song of the day.

After the greetings, before going on to the last song, they started chatting as if they were regretting the end of the tour. At the center of it all was the leader, Mr. Aoyama. Mr. Yoshioka quickly cut off the flow of the conversation by saying, "Why don't we end here in Sendai, with smiles in full bloom? Mr. Tanaka pulled up the tension with "Yosshisha! and Mr. Tanaka pulled up the tension. I think they are a really good team.

The last number was "Gokujo Smile," and at the end of their 33-show tour, the full smiles of the seven members and the entire venue awaited Wake Up, Girls! However, there was more to the live only in the evening session. The seven members appeared for a double encore and expressed their small wish to sing one more song. Considering the time of the show, there was a strong possibility that this was not really on the schedule, but I felt the staff's spirit in responding to the request.

The song chosen was "7 Girls War," a song that had not been sung at the evening performance. The stage was set aside for dancing and formations, and all that was left was to have fun with all one's might. The final performance, the Chikyuu-rakura, was filled with fun and happiness. It was a miraculous night for the girls who had given their all and fought until the very end.
