The popular "Transformers" series will celebrate its 35th anniversary this year in 2019. To commemorate the release of the latest live-action movie "Bumblebee" on March 22, a collaboration café "Bumblebee Cafe" will open from March 8 to March 31.
Transformers" is a popular series created by Takara (now Takara Tomy), "from Japanese toys," with the unique concept of transforming anything around you into a robot life form, and the epic story of the battle between these robot life forms in the universe. The series is popular for its epic storyline in which robot life forms battle in space.
In the mid-1980s, the toys and animated TV series were huge hits in Japan and the U.S. Since then, numerous titles have been released, and a live-action movie series was launched in 2007. The series continues to be loved around the world while attracting a new fan base.
The latest live-action film in the series, "Bumblebee," which opens in theaters on March 22, stars the popular character Bumblebee and is set in 1987. The film depicts the interaction between a girl and Bumblebee and the battle between Transformers in 1987. To commemorate the release of the film, a collaboration cafe, "Bumblebee Cafe," opened at Cafe Address Ikebukuro Parco for a limited time from March 8 to March 31, and Akiba Research Institute immediately went inside the cafe!

Upon entering the store, the shelves were lined with a variety of Transformers toys! The lineup included everything from Transformers toys from the live-action movie version to the "Masterpiece" series, which is a must for the original "G1" series generation, and even the "G1" generation made me smile.
Inside the store, a projector shows scenes of Bumblebee in action one after another. The live-action version of the Bumblebee is shown in action, while the animated TV version of the Bumblebee is also shown. Oh yeah, it transformed into a disk-shaped machine at first.

All the menus have a stylish appearance, with Bumblebee's yellow and black accents.
There are two kinds of food: "Bumblebee Meida Kalbo Omelet with Thick Cheese Sauce" with the dazzling Autobot logo and "Bumblebee Eggs Benedict Plate" with the impressive yellow color of the eggs.
Desserts include the "Bumblebee Yellow Waffle with Colorful Fruits" with a delicious Bumblebee-inspired mango sauce and the "Bumblebee Citrus Parfait with Energon Cube," a Bumblebee-shaped cream puff that will look great on Instagram.
And four types of drinks are available: "Honey Bee Latte" and "Bumble Bee Mango Smoothie" with the image of Bumble Bee, "Autobot Raspberry Soda" and "Decepticon Purple Lemonade" with the images of Autobot and Decepticon armies, respectively.
You can also get a luncheon mat with a 3D photo of Bumblebee!
Also on display in the store are autographs signed by voice actor Ryohei Kimura, who plays Bumblebee in the live-action movie "Bumblebee," as well as a hidden QR code that allows you to enjoy a total of seven different voices, which will also be of interest to voice actor fans!
There is also a photo spot where you can take commemorative photos with Bumblebee, so the event is all about Bumblebee, as the name implies.
According to Kenichiro Okabe of the Boys Division of TOMY, "This collaboration café is the first "Transformers" project to target women. The store is decorated with cute illustrations of Bumblebee," he said, adding that the project is mainly targeting female Transformers fans.
On the other hand, the store will also display the "Masterpiece" series of toys for high-target G1 fans to satisfy "Transformers" fans in all directions.
