SQUANI Announces Smartphone Game "OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent"! Calling for players for an advance trial version starting March 12.

SQUARE ENIX announced "OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Highlanders", an RPG for smartphones, and started accepting pre-registrations today.

OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Highlanders" is the latest title in the "OCTOPATH TRAVELER" series of RPGs for Nintendo Switch, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide by total shipments and downloads.

This free-to-play, single-player RPG is set several years before the continent of Orstella, where the eight main characters of "OCTOPATH TRAVELER" traveled, and a new story unfolds.

The fantastic HD-2D world is realized on smartphones by adding "3DCG" screen effects to "dot pictures". Advanced command battles with a party of up to 8 players. Field commands allow players to communicate with townspeople in a variety of ways. The game system has been optimized to make it easy to play "OCTOPATH TRAVELER" on smartphones, allowing players to enjoy a new kind of role-playing experience as they confront a great evil that has achieved great wealth, power, and fame.
