The Movie "PATARIRO! is set to be released on June 28, 2019 (Friday), for a nationwide roadshow!

The extremely popular work based on Mineo Mayo's original story "Patarillo! will be shown at TOHO CINEMAS SHINJUKU and other theaters nationwide starting June 28, 2019.

Patarillo!", an extremely popular work written by Mineo Mayo, has been loved for more than 40 years since its serialization began in 1978, and the total number of copies sold in the series has exceeded 25 million. In 2016, it was adapted into a 2.5 dimensional musical.

Following the musical version, the overwhelming worldview and fun of "PATARIRO!" will be brought to the cinema screen, starting on June 28 (Fri.) at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku and other theaters throughout Japan.

The analog feel of the stage is combined with the action and VFX by the Shirokumi to create a "Patarillo world" that is "something you've seen before, but never seen before! world is in full bloom, creating a new sensation.

The main character, Patarillo, is of course played by Ryo Kato, just as in the stage version. He sings, dances, and slaps his way through the show with the same intensity as in the stage version!
Another highlight is the love affair between Bancholan and Malaich, played by Gentoku Aoki and Hiroki Sana.
