Smartphone game "OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Highlanders of the Continent" reveals key visuals and story!

Square Enix has released the key visuals and story of the smartphone RPG "OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Highlanders".

OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Highlanders" is the latest title in the "OCTOPATH TRAVELER" series of RPGs for Nintendo Switch, which has sold more than 1.5 million units worldwide by total shipments and downloads. The smartphone version of the game is a free-to-play single-player RPG with a new story set several years before the continent of Orstella, where the eight main characters of "OCTOPATH TRAVELER" traveled.

The fantastic HD-2D world is realized on smartphones by adding "3DCG" screen effects to "dot pictures". The game features advanced command battles with a party of up to eight players and field commands that allow players to communicate with townspeople in a variety of ways.
