They are "bums" and "NEETs" even though they are over 20 years old, and they are all "virgins" with "no girlfriends. They are all "virgins" who have no girlfriends. The Matsuno family's six children, who have grown up to be no good but somehow lovable adults, will return in the form of a movie!

The movie version of the story that connects "Osomatsu-kun" and "Osomatsu-san" will also be shown in the movie, with the appearance of the six children in high school. ...... The movie version of "Osomatsu-kun" and "Osomatsu-san" will be shown at ! The movie version of "Osomatsu-san" will feature not only "laughter" but also "adolescence" and "emotion". The film is a new frontier of "Osomatsu-san," which of course is filled with "youth" and "emotion.

-- What was your impression when the film adaptation was decided?

Irino: When we finished recording the second season of the TV series, I didn't feel that it would be the end. However, I was very surprised because I did not expect it to be made into a movie. I was frankly surprised, "What are you going to do in the movie? That was my honest impression.

-- What was your impression when you read the script?

Irino: Because "Osomatsu-san" is an all-or-nothing story, I thought it would be difficult to decide what theme to use when making the script. I had to make a movie while making the best use of the "Osomatsu-san" style. As you can see in the preview, it is a story that will make you cry, laugh, and be moved. I know that everyone has their own expectations of "Osomatsu-san," but I feel that the film has a good sense of betrayal and is finished in a good way.

-- How was it to record "Osomatsu-san" for the first time in a long time?

Irino: I thought, "They wrote a great script" (laughs). (Laughs) There is a lot of interaction with the other characters, and since it is a movie, the recording time is simply long. Todomatsu has to shout a lot and there are many crazy scenes, so it was exhausting. I play at full throttle from the morning, so I get tired in an instant, and at night, I get so weird that even if chopsticks fall over, it's still a fun scene, so basically, it's the same as usual. It was hard work, but the postrecording went so smoothly that it felt like time was moving very quickly.

-- Did you notice any differences from the TV series when you played the role of 18-year-old Todomatsu?

Irino: (The 18-year-old Todomatsu is) pampered, cute and whiny. I tried to exaggerate rather than make him more realistic, so I played him down to the mental age of a young elementary school student. The normal Todomatsu has a great range of emotions and a human side that I find appealing, but the 18-year-old Todomatsu gives me a strong impression of a loose character.

-- What do you see as the appeal of the five older brothers, and what do you think makes the voice actors who portray them "great"?

Irino: The older brother Osomatsu is a character that is "the most popular character in Osomatsu-san! He is a character that I don't like, but there is something good about him being normal or plain. If you look at him closely, his pure evilness is both appealing and makes him seem like the worst kind of guy (laughs). Sakurai-san, who plays it, played it wonderfully plain in the first episode of the first season. He laid the groundwork for each character while everyone was still thinking about how to play them, and it was thanks to Mr. Sakurai that everyone was able to go in so many different directions. He is a reliable presence just by being there.

Karamatsu is a cheater, isn't he? I envy his ability to keep doing the same thing and keep getting laughs. And then there is Mr. Nakamura's great voice. I feel that the greatness of a good voice is clearly demonstrated. I think it's great that Mr. Nakamura is able to bring out the charm of Karamatsu while also showing his comedic sense.

Choromatsu is creepy (laughs). I apologize to Choromatsu fans, but I am saying this on the assumption that you love him! The story about the recorder and other horror-inducing creepiness. Choromatsu's creepiness is what makes him so appealing, so I'm okay with that. I think Kamiya-san, who plays him, has a great sense of humor and how to say things. Choromatsu is an ordinary character at first glance, but I can sense the perversity and reality behind him in Kamiya's performance. I like how you can make him creepy and scary.

I like that Kamiya-san can give a creepy and scary impression. I wonder if Mr. Fukuyama himself has some frustration that "I want to be there too, but I can't ......"? I think so. That is why I like the tone that only Mr. Fukuyama can produce when he gets really excited. The charm of Ichimatsu is that he does things that he absolutely shouldn't do. I can feel the reality in Mr. Fukuyama's performance that he really does do things that he shouldn't (laugh).

Jyushimatsu is cute. He is a lovable character and I can really understand why he is so popular. I like that he is not sarcastic. Ono-san plays Jyushimatsu, and when he hits a home run, it's amazing how big it is. During postrecording, everyone was like, "Do something, Jyushimatsu, do something." We were all pushing and pushing him to the limit, and when he swung the bat with his eyes closed, he hit a home run! I could never do that kind of thing, and I think it's a wonderful thing that Ono-san can do that.

-- After the TV series, this time it is a movie. What do you think of the multifaceted development of "Osomatsu-san," which also has a stage version, although the cast is different?

Irino: I think it's a good thing, and as far as "Osomatsu-san" is concerned, I feel like, "Keep it going! (Laughs) I think it is because "Osomatsu-san" is loved by so many people in such a wide range of areas that there are no restrictions on what is allowed and what is not that I would like to see it continue to expand.

-- Please give a message to the fans who are looking forward to "Eiga no Osomatsu-san"!

Irino: I believe that it is because of your support that we were able to make the movie version. Thank you very much. This theater version contains various elements, so I think it will be interesting even if you watch it again and again, and you will discover many things. Why "Osomatsu-san" in a movie? It might be a good idea to enjoy it in a festive mood while making a comment like "Why is it 'Osomatsu-san' in a movie? Please enjoy the bizarre scenes of Todomatsu and his Tottie face on the big screen and at high volume.
