Prototype announced that "CLANNAD" for Nintendo Switch will be released on July 4 (Thursday).

CLANNAD" is the third title of "Key," the brand of Visual Arts that established the "crying game" genre in the romance adventure game market with "Kanon" and "AIR.

Since the PC version was released in April 2004, the series has been developed into numerous media mixes, including TV anime, theater movies, comics, novels, drama CDs, music CDs, and character goods. For home video game consoles, the PS2, PSP, Xbox360, PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 versions have been released, and an Android game app is also available.

The release date for the Switch version has been set for July 4 (Thursday)!　In addition, it has been announced that a packaged version (!?) of the game, which was originally sold exclusively for download, will also be released at the same time. The first production run of the packaged version will include a free downloadable version of the game. The newest titles in the "CLANNAD" series will be available in full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), the highest resolution available in the series. You can enjoy the moving story that will never fade away with even more beautiful visuals.

Text is available in Japanese and English (voices are in Japanese only). The main game, preferences, digital manuals, etc. are also available in both languages, allowing you to switch between languages at any time during the game.

All music (including the opening movie) and some voices are 5.1ch surround sound compatible, greatly enhancing the sense of realism!　Connect your Nintendo Switch to a compatible surround sound system and you will be surrounded by beautiful music and characters running around you. Enjoy Sanae-san running through Haruhara, who is dragged along screaming and crying (you can also switch to the conventional 2-channel stereo mode)!

The "Dangopedia" (*) explains Japanese culture and other terms that appear in the game.
Dangopedia" is only available in English, and Japanese is not supported. It can only be used when the in-game language is switched to English.
