A special PV for the TV anime "Magician Orphen: Hagureta Tabi" has been released, announcing that a completely new TV anime will be produced in 2019, the series' 25th anniversary.

Magician Orphen" by Sadanobu Akita was published by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko and sold over 12 million copies in total. 2011 saw the relaunch of a new series, a sequel to "Hagure Tabi," with a new publisher, TO Books. At the same time, the old series ("Hagure Tabi" and "Reckless") was reprinted in a new edition, and the total number of copies of the new edition has exceeded 600,000, making it a popular work.
In 1994, when the first volume was released, the light novel genre had not yet taken root, and the work defined the current light novel genre itself, adding sometimes comical and sometimes serious elements from the royal road and orthodox fantasy of "The Lord of the Rings" and "Dungeons & Dragons". The series has been a huge hit, with a total of more than 12 million copies sold. The series is a milestone work in the light novel genre.
It has been announced that a completely new TV anime will be produced in 2019, the series' 25th anniversary year.

The special PV of the series' 25th anniversary project "Mage Orphen: The Hagureta Journey" has been released.

The main character, Orphen, is played by Shotaro Morikubo, the same actor who played the character in the 1998 and 1999 TV anime. appears in the PV, and for the first time in nearly 20 years, the famous line is completely revived in anime form.

In addition, as news of the revival of the anime adaptation broke late last year, there was a great deal of talk on the Internet about which parts of the original "Hagure Journey" would be adapted to film, and in the footage in this PV, there is a "pre-version" that depicts Orphen's student days before the "Hagure version.
It has not yet been revealed how the "Pre-hen," which is very popular among fans of the original, will be depicted in the film, but it seems certain that this is an anime adaptation of "Hagure Ryoko" that also includes the "Pre-hen," and a major project to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the series.

In addition to the hero Orphen, the strongest mage in the series, the video also includes the heroine Kreeow, Majik, who looks up to Orphen as his master, and the brothers Volkan and Dotin, who accompany Orphen on his journey. In addition, there is also Orphen's sister-in-law Azalee, and the young Childman, the strongest necromancer on the continent, who trained Orphen in black magic. Popular characters familiar from the original work and past anime series make appearances, so be sure to check them out!
