TV Anime Adaptation of "Astra Beyond"; Original Comic Wins Grand Prize at Manga Grand Prize 2019! Director Masaomi Ando sends his congratulatory comments!

The original comic of "Astra of the Beyond," which is set to be adapted into a TV anime, won the Grand Prize at the Manga Grand Prize 2019.

Astra Beyond" is a manga by Kenta Shinohara serialized on the webcomic distribution site "Shonen Jump +" (Shueisha), and was nominated for "This manga is amazing! The setting is a near-future world where space travel has become commonplace. It is a science fiction survival story about nine boys and girls who set off for a planetary camp and encounter unexpected situations on their journey.
Directed by "Gakkou Gurashi! and "Saibu Muundei no Jinsou Kikiryu", series composition by Norimitsu Kaiho of "Gunslinger Stratos" and "Gakko Gurashi! and "Gakko Gurashi!", and character design by Keiko Kurosawa of "Asobi Asobase" and "Konohana Kitan". Animation production will be handled by "Lerche", the same company that produced "Asobiverse" and "Konohana Kitan".
