McDonald's JR Akihabara will close on Sunday, March 31. It will be located in the east-west free passageway of JR Akihabara Station, in front of the former site of "Soul Nations AKIBA Showroom," which closed on March 17 (Sunday).

McDonald's" is the world's largest fast food chain, with more than 3,000 stores in Japan since the first store in Japan opened in Ginza in July 1971.

The "McDonald's JR Akihabara Store" to be closed this time opened on Monday, March 26, 2007 in the East-West Free Passage and had been in operation for 12 years.

According to the POP in the store, "McDonald's JR Akihabara Store will close at 18:00 on Sunday, March 31, and we would like to thank you for your patronage over the past 12 years. The McDonald's stores in the area will be closed for the next 12 years.

Three McDonald's stores in the neighborhood are still in operation: Akihabara Ekimae Store, Bic Camera AKIBA Store, and Akihabara Showadori Store.
