The popular novel "The King of Deer," winner of the 2015 Honya Taisho Award and the 4th Japan Medical Novel Award, will be adapted into an anime film.

The King of Deer" is an anime film based on the novel of the same title by Nahoko Uehashi, whose series has sold over 1.9 million copies. The film depicts a meticulous medical suspense and the adventures of a father and daughter confronting an unprecedented crisis. Animation production is by Produce, the animation studio behind hit series such as "Ghost in the Shell," "PSYCHO-PASS: Psycho-Pass," and "HIQUE!
