The cherry blossoms are blooming all over Japan! The "Card Captor Sakura" collaboration is underway, and if you tweet with "#Kinomoto Sakura" on Twitter, the Sakura emoji will be unsealed!

The "#SakuraSaku Campaign," a limited-time collaboration with "Card Captor Sakura," in which tweets with #Kinomoto Sakura will unseal (release) the cherry blossom emoji, will be held on Twitter until April 30 (Tuesday).

Card Captor Sakura" is a popular comic series published in "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha) from 1996 to 2000 by CLAMP, a hit maker of "Magic Knight Rayearth" and "XXXHOLiC", etc. When the TV anime was broadcast on NHK in 1998, its popularity accelerated. The popularity of the comic accelerated and became a huge boom that transcended gender and generation. In 2016, the 20th anniversary of the serialization, a new sequel, "Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card Arc," began serialization, and an anime version was broadcast on NHK BS Premium from January 2018.

The "#SakuraSaku Campaign", a limited time collaboration with "Card Captor Sakura", will be held until April 30 (Tue.), in which users can unseal (release) a cherry blossom emoji by tweeting with "#Kinomoto Sakura".


Twitter Japan will hold the limited-time #SakuraSaku Campaign on Twitter until April 30 (Tue.) to encourage users to enjoy the cherry blossom season even more as the cherry blossom front rushes up the Japanese archipelago.


The "#Sakura for Good Project," in which anyone can participate through tweets, a collaboration project with the popular work "Card Captor Sakura," which has been loved by many fans across generations for many years, and the "Sakura" emoji and "Like" symbols that appear with the corresponding # will change into animated cherry blossom images. The "#Sakura for Good Project" is an easy way for anyone to contribute to the NPO Sakura Line 311 by tweeting donations according to the number of tweets you send with the hashtag "#sakura".
Twitter Japan will donate to the NPO Sakura Line 311 (@sakuraline311) according to the number of tweets with the hashtag "#sakura".
Sakura Line 311 plants cherry trees in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, where the tsunami reached its maximum point after the Great East Japan Earthquake, in order to pass on and preserve the memory of the tsunami. (Currently 1,419/17,000 trees) Users' tweets will cause cherry trees to bloom in Rikuzentakata City, and this initiative will mark the evacuation line to protect lives from the next tsunami.


About the #Sakura for Good Project
Twitter Japan will donate 0.1 yen to the NPO Sakura Line 311 for every tweet (including retweets) with the hashtag "#Sakura" and every like of a tweet with that hashtag from Monday, March 11, 2019 at 0:00 to Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 23:59. The amount of the donation is subject to a limit.
There is a limit to the amount of the donation, and the maximum amount is 1.5 million yen. If you exceed the maximum amount, you can still participate in the #Sakura for Good project, but the excess tweets will not be counted toward the donation amount.

A limited time only cherry blossom emoji will be unsealed (rereleased) when tweeted with "#Kinomoto Sakura"!
