Final Fantasy XIV" released "Requiem for a Hero" Patch 4.5 today, March 26! The latest information on "Jet-Black Villains" has also arrived!

FINAL FANTASY XIV (FFXIV), an online RPG developed and operated by Square Enix, released Patch 4.56, the latest update of "Requiem for a Hero," today, March 26 (Tuesday).

The update includes Part 2 of the main story, the sub-story quest "Hildebrand Gaiden: Red Lilies" and "Barbarian Extra Story: Red Lilies," which will be a stepping stone to the latest expansion package "Final Fantasy XIV: The Jet-Black Villains" (hereafter, "Jet-Black Villains") scheduled for release on July 2 (Tuesday). The main story Part 2 will be delivered!

In addition to the various new elements of "Jet-Black Villains" announced at "Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2019 in Tokyo" held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on March 23 (Sat.) and 24 (Sun.), here is a summary of the information released so far.

Part 2 of the main story "Requiem for a Hero," which is the first chapter of the new adventure that begins with "Jet-Black Villains," will be released today, March 26 (Tuesday).

The peace negotiations between Eorzea and Varys Zos Galvas, Emperor of the Galemar Empire, have ended in failure, and war has finally broken out in the border region of "Gimrito. Thanks to the efforts of the Eastern Alliance and the Warriors of Light who rushed to Eorzea's crisis, the allied forces somehow managed to repel the first wave of imperial troops, but the future was as grim as the dark clouds that covered the sky. Who are the unceasing gunfire and enigmatic calls for a requiem?
