AnimeJapan 2019, one of the world's largest anime events, was held at Tokyo Big Sight for two days on March 23 and 24, 2019.On the second day, March 24, a talk event on the TV anime "The Bride of the Fifth Class" was held at the Pony Canyon booth.

The "Bride of the Fifth Class" is a popular comic series by Haruba Negi serialized in "Shukan Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), which has sold more than 1.5 million copies (the latest volume 7 was released on December 17). The main character, a high school boy living in poverty, becomes a tutor for five sisters with rich personalities who are on the verge of flunking out of high school, and struggles to lead them to graduation.

The venue was heated up when the MC called Kana Hanazawa, who played the role of Ichika Nakano, Ayana Taketatsu, who played the role of Futano Nakano, and Mirai Ito, who played the role of Miku Nakano, to the stage. The crowd was so large that even those outside the viewing area stopped to watch the show, making it temporarily impossible to pass through the venue.

After explaining about the work and talking enthusiastically about his enthusiasm for the final episode, the last game of the day was a game between the Pony Canyon booths.
The game was played in the same way as blackjack, with the winner being the team whose card total came closest to "69," which is in reference to this year's Anime Japan theme of "ROCK. Hanazawa, Taketatsu, and Ito each drew a number of cards, and finally Ito drew a "4" for a total of 69, making him the winner. (Incidentally, the prize money was split among the winners of the subsequent "A of Diamonds" game, which also resulted in a total of 69.)

The "Bride of the Fifth Class" Special Event will be held on May 5 (Sun.) at Yomiuri Hall in Yurakucho. It was also announced that the application deadline for this event has been extended to April 2 (Tue.) at 23:59. The cast includes Sadayoshi Matsuoka, Kana Hanazawa, Ayana Taketatsu, Mirai Ito, Ayane Sakura, Inori Minase, and Aya Uchida, who will sing the ED. The event will include talks, a game corner, and a reading corner, and the OP theme and ED theme will be sung. To participate in this event, you will need to apply for the "Ticket Priority Sales Application Coupon" enclosed in the Blu-ray & DVD of "The Bride of the Five Equals Volume 1" which is currently on sale.
