Broadcasting starts on October 16th! Making of "Gekidan Sphere" & Episode 1 Synopsis Released!

To commemorate the 10th anniversary year of the voice-over unit "Sphere," "Gekidan Sphere," a collaboration between Sphere and the scriptwriters and directors who are active in the theater troupe, will begin airing on TOKYO MX in October. The behind-the-scenes footage of the filming was also revealed in conjunction with a special pre-production special program.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary year of the voice acting unit "Sphere," "Gekidan Sphere," a drama collaboration between Sphere and the scriptwriters and directors of the theater company, will air on TOKYO MX from October 16, 2019 (Wednesdays at 24:00~) (October 9 (Wed.) at 24:00 pm - special program just before the broadcast (scheduled to air).

The voice acting unit "Sphere," celebrating its 10th anniversary, will collaborate with 5 scriptwriters & directors who are active in the theater company for their first starring drama.
Each director will produce a work, which will be broadcast in two complete episodes: the first part and the second part. The members of Sphere will play characters in various genres such as comedy, suspense, science fiction, serious, and horror in the given situations.
The nonstop direction by the playwrights is a new style of drama that makes the audience feel as if they are watching a play. It is a must-see for drama fans, stage fans, and voice actor fans alike.

Prior to the start of the drama series on October 16, making-of photos and the synopsis of the first episode were released, and a behind-the-scenes look at the filming was also shown in conjunction with a "special program right before the start of the drama series".

A special program introducing behind-the-scenes footage of the filming will be broadcast on October 9 (Wed.) from 24:00 pm.
The drama will be broadcast in two parts, Act I and Act II. The drama was shot on an intensely hard schedule, with a total running time of 40 minutes being shot in just one day. The film includes a lot of precious footage of the Sphere getting nervous before the crank-in, the director encouraging the four Sphere members who were perplexed by their unfamiliar acting job, and the four Sphere members expressing their feelings with lively expressions after the filming!
The impressions of Sphere as actresses from the viewpoints of the five playwrights' directors are also discussed for the first time, so be sure to check it out.

<Synopsis
Misa (Kotobuki Minako), Asako (Takagaki Ayaka), and Kurumi (Tomatsu Haruka) are four good friends who have come to Yuki's (Toyosaki Aki) emergency shelter to practice with their band. They were immersed in making an album when one night, a violent explosion changes their situation. As the four are cut off from the outside world and panic ensues, a warning buzzer sounds in the shelter... Who is on the other side of the door?
Can the four of them make it out of the shelter alive?
