Targeted Races" is available in "Red Dead Online" starting today, March 27!

Rockstar Games today (Wednesday, March 27) added "Target Race" to the "Red Dead Online" online mode (currently in beta testing) of its "Red Dead Redemption 2" software for PS4/Xbox One.

Red Dead Redemption 2" is the sequel title to the open-world action adventure "Red Dead Redemption" set in frontier America. Players take on the role of Arthur Morgan, a member of the Dutch gang, and must survive in a world of outlaws.

The game takes place in the United States in 1899, as the pioneer era is coming to an end. Arthur Morgan and the Dutch Gang are forced to flee after a major robbery gone wrong in the western town of Blackwater. Pursued by federal agents and bounty hunters from all over the country, the gang's only way to survive is to rob, violate, and steal in the wilds of America, but the gang is in danger of being torn apart the more they get involved in the feud. Arthur is forced to choose between his ideals and his loyalty to the gang that raised him.

The beta test of "Red Dead Online," the online mode of this title, is currently underway, and information on the "Target Race," which was added today, March 27 (Wednesday), has arrived.

All players start with a bow and arrow. Shooting at targets will increase your horse's stamina. Also, make good use of recovery items. You can pass through stamina boosts to extend your horse's dash time or quickly recover your horse's base stamina.

Additionally, you can recover weapons to obtain firearms and a small amount of ammunition. Use the shotgun to quickly and easily take out targets at checkpoints. You can also shoot other players to sabotage them. You can lock on to targets at checkpoints, but shooting at other players requires free aim, so it is up to the player to be skillful.

If you are lagging behind in a race, you can enter the slipstream of another player to gain some speed. Or, if you are in the lead, you can kick your rivals to lower their horses' stamina levels. If you are lucky, you can even make them fall over.

Target races can be started from the landing page menu, Quick Join, or from the Featured Series icon.

PlayStation 4 players will have early access to the Open Target Race. The goal of the game is to shoot all the targets in a wide open field. Targets can be shot in any order. Keep track of your rivals and check the mini-map to determine your next target. In the PlayStation 4 version, the Special Series icon will also appear on the map, allowing you to play in the Special Series.

You're free to shoot your way forward in Target Race, lend a helping hand to those in need in Wandering Mode missions, or clear out a hideout. Or hunt, create supplies, or choose the honorable (or dishonorable) path in the land of opportunity, all activities earn 20% more XP.

In addition, all horse care supplies such as medicines, revives, stimulants, and brushes from the stable or the Wheeler Lawson catalog are available at a 25% discount. Top ranking players can get improved saddles at 25% off and upgrade their saddles at any time.

In addition, clothes suitable for pioneers will be added.
