Gundam vs. Hello Kitty" - A dream come true! Your support will decide the winner! The first confrontation project!

National characters "Gundam" and "Hello Kitty" have announced the first ever "Confrontation Project," which will be rolled out from April 2019, involving various in-store and distribution venues.

The anniversary year of 2019 will mark the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam" and the 45th anniversary of "Hello Kitty". In April of the same year, a fan-participatory confrontation project "Gundam vs. Hello Kitty" will begin. The first stage of the project will be held at Marugame Seimen, and will be followed by various other in-store and distribution venues.

After registering the "Gundam Kitty LINE official account" as a friend, users will be able to choose either the Gundam or Kitty group and participate in each stage to support the character of their choice. By accumulating points in the LINE, they can also get gorgeous gifts from the top of the annual ranking. There will also be a campaign in which prizes will be awarded for each stage.

Stage 1 "Marugame Seimen

By visiting Marugame Seimen stores nationwide and purchasing udon noodles, you can support Gundam and Hello Kitty respectively. Udon tags given with the purchase of udon noodles will be of a limited design, with a total lineup of 90 types (45 types each of Gundam and Hello Kitty). A purchase campaign will also be held to give away special prizes that cannot be obtained anywhere else.

Stage 1 "Marugame Seimen" Details
Period: Tuesday, April 2, 2019 - Sunday, May 19, 2019
Location: Marugame Seimen throughout Japan
Points: 1 point for each visit to the store (when visiting the store, read the QR code on the in-store poster)
Prizes: 2 receipts of 700 yen or more including 1 bowl of udon can be entered. Original udon dining set and original T-shirt will be given to 600 people in total by lottery.

Stage 2 "Ito-Yokado Specialty Store District

During Golden Week, you can support each of Gundam and Hello Kitty by visiting and making purchases at Ito-Yokado specialty stores nationwide. The lineup of original prizes for the second stage, which will be drawn from among the entries, includes a pure gold plate.

Location: 80 Ito-Yokado specialty store areas nationwide
Points: 1 point per store visit (when you visit the store, read the QR code on the in-store poster)
Prizes: For every purchase of 1,000 yen or more, an entry ticket for either the Gundam course or the Hello Kitty course will be distributed. 1,724 winners will receive a pure gold card, QUO card, or mug cup, and 3,864 winners will receive a clear file for a chance to win.
