The "Lesser Students of Magical High School" is a TV anime based on the light novel by Tsutomu Sashima (illustrated by Kana Ishida, KADOKAWA Dengeki Bunko). On Saturday, June 17, 2017, an anime movie based on the story written by the author, Sashima, will be released. This time, this legendary school magics "The Lesser Students of Magical High School" will be produced in a long-awaited second TV anime season, following the TV anime adaptation in 2014 and the theater anime adaptation in 2017. It has been announced that the second season will begin airing in 2020 as "The Inferior Students of Magical High School: The Visitor Arc".

The main staff remains the same as that of "The Lesser Students of Magical High School: The Girl Who Calls the Stars," which was screened as a movie version in 2017 and grossed over 560 million yen at the box office, with original story by Tsutomu Sashima, original illustration and character design by Kana Ishida, director by Risako Yoshida, music by Taku Iwasaki, and animation production by Eight Music by Taku Iwasaki, Animation Production by Eight Bits.
The cast includes Yuichi Nakamura, Saori Hayami, Yoko Hikasa, and other voice actors from the first season and the movie version.
