Ponkotsu idol four-panel "Ochibore Fruit Tart" will be adapted into a TV anime!

Ochibore Fruits Tart", a four-frame manga by Sou Hamayuba of "Hanayamata" fame, will be adapted into a TV anime! The director and other main staff members have been announced.

Ochibore Fruit Tart" is a comic by Sou Hamayuba, serialized in "Manga Time Kirara Carat" (Houbunsha). A high school student, Sakura Ino, who moved to Tokyo to become an idol, forms a new idol unit "Fruit Tart" with an unsuccessful (former) child actor, Rocco, a musician, Hiyu, and a model, Nina, all of whom live in a rat house. This is a four-panel story about a group of outcasts in the entertainment world who fall seven times and rise eight times in their idol activities in order to save Nutsuzoso, which is in danger of being demolished.

It has now been announced that the work will be adapted into a TV anime. Kawaguchi Keiichiro will direct the anime. The manga is currently in its third volume, so be sure to check it out as well as the original comic book.
