TV anime "Takuboku Tantei Shojo" to be broadcast and distributed in Spring 2020! Shintaro Asanuma as Takuboku Ishikawa and Takahiro Sakurai as Kyosuke Kindaichi!

The first key visual for the anime version of the TV anime "Takkugidori Tantei Sho", which will be broadcast and distributed in the spring of 2020, has been released, and the main cast has also been revealed. Takuboku Ishikawa will be played by Shintaro Asanuma and Kyosuke Kindaichi by Takahiro Sakurai.

The original story is "Takuboku Tori Tantei Shojo" (written by Kei Ii, Sogen Suri Bunko), an authentic mystery novel that won the 3rd Sogen Suri Short Story Award. Shinpei Ezaki is the general director and Taku Kishimoto is in charge of the series composition. Popular illustrator Iku Saki has been chosen as the character designer, and Leiden Film will be in charge of animation production.
Broadcasting and distribution is scheduled to begin in spring 2020 on TOKYO MX, BS Fuji, CS Family Theater, and other TV stations.

The key visual depicts Takuboku Ishikawa and Kyosuke Kindaichi against the backdrop of Ryounkaku in Asakusa, the setting of the anime.

The main cast includes Shintaro Asanuma as Takuboku Ishikawa, a genius poet, and Takahiro Sakurai as Takuboku's partner, Kyosuke Kindaichi.

In addition, the main staff has been additionally announced.
It was announced that the film will be directed by Tomoei Makino (his first film as a director), with character design by Shuichi Hara and music by MONACA.
