Maywa Denki's first official store, Maywa Denki Akihabara Store, opens tomorrow, March 30!

The first official store of the art unit "Maywa Denki" will open on March 30 (Sat). The location is next to the "SEGA Akihabara No. 1 Building" under the guard along Chuo-dori Avenue. It is located on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Radio Department Store, a long-established electronic parts and device parts building.

Maywa Denki is a "small business style" art unit affiliated with Yoshimoto Kogyo, formed in 1993 as an art unit. They wear blue work uniforms and call their works "products" and their live performances "product demonstration." They have developed a variety of nonsense machines in the "small and medium business style" that supported Japan's rapid economic growth.

Under the theme of "From Art to Mass Products," the new "Maywa Denki Akihabara Store" will offer a complete lineup of Maywa Denki products, from art, such as nonsense machines that can only be found here, to products such as the hit Otamatone!　The store may be small, but it is packed with nonsense products.

In addition, the "Radio Super" rental space and the "Radio Gallery," an art gallery displaying "radical objects," both produced by Maywa Denki, will be open at the same time next to the "Maywa Denki Akihabara Store," and there will be an opening event on March 30 (Sat.) and 31 (Sun.), so be sure to visit the store!
