Sega Games announced the release of the "Mega Drive Mini" on September 19, 2019 (Thursday) at the "Sega Fest 2019" event held at Bellesalle Akihabara on March 30 and 31, 2019 (Saturday and Sunday).

The "Mega Drive Mini" is a new palm-sized recreation of Sega's fifth home video game console, the Mega Drive, which was released almost 30 years ago in 1988. 154 (W) x 39 (H) x 116 (D) mm, the compact body contains 40 game software titles. From action and shooting games to puzzles, RPGs, simulations, and more, this is the "Mega Drive history" of classic titles. The "Mega Drive Mini W," which includes two control pads essential for competitive and cooperative play, will also be released at the same time.
