[AnimeJapan 2019] A super special video will be unveiled at the "Ojamajo Doremi" 20th Anniversary - Magical Stage!

AnimeJapan 2019, one of the world's largest anime events, was held at Tokyo Big Sight for two days on March 23 and 24, 2019, and on the first day, Saturday, March 23, the 20th anniversary of "Ojamajo Doremi" was celebrated at the "Killerpink Stage" in East Hall 4. This stage was a special stage commemorating the 20th anniversary of "Ojamajo Doremi.
The five voice actors who played the Ojamajo and their friends and producer Hiromi Seki took the stage to look back on the history of "Ojamajo Doremi" over the past 20 years as the TV anime "Ojamajo Doremi" marked its 20th anniversary year since its broadcast began on February 7, 1999.


When the event started, the nostalgic "Ojamajo Carnival! was shown on the screen along with the opening video from those days, and immediately after the stage started, the audience's voltage rose dramatically. The audience was filled with excitement as the main cast members Chiemi Chiba (played by Dorimi Harukaze), Tomoko Akiya (played by Hazuki Fujiwara), Yuki Matsuoka (played by Aiko Seo), Rumi Shishido (played by Ompu Segawa) and Nagami Miyahara (played by Momoko Asuka) appeared on stage and sang the song live to the music.

The excitement of the audience was further heightened when the first episode of "Ojamajo Doremi: Comedy Theater" was shown for the first time on the stage.


The event then moved on to the TV series review corner, where stills from the first season of "Ojamajo Doremi" were shown on the screen. Chiba-san, who plays the role of Doremi, said, "At the time of the original series, I was still struggling with how to say the magic spells and it was very difficult. Especially, I didn't know how to say the last line of "hanging" at all, and I think the way I said it changed between the first half of the original and the second half. I think the way I said it changed from the first half of the original to the second half," he said, looking back on those days.

Next, stills from the second season of "Ojamajo Doremi #" were shown, and Ms. Shishido, who plays the role of Onpu, told the audience about the memorable story of Onpu, who is unable to take care of Hana-chan during the day due to work, but secretly takes care of her at night and sings "Lupinus' Lullaby. He shared his memories of the memorable moment when he sang "Lupinus Lullaby.

As for the third season of "Mo~t! Ojamajo Doremi," Ms. Miyahara, who played the role of Momoko, commented that although Momoko could not speak Japanese well, her memories were that she became friends with everyone through making homemade sweets.

And the fourth season of "Ojamajo Doremi Dokka! Ms. Akiya, who played the role of Hazuki, talked about how she felt at the time, saying that everyone had to hold back their tears to make the final episode.

Ms. Matsuoka, who played the role of Aiko in the 5th season "Ojamajo Doremi na i Sho," recalled how shocked she was to learn that Aiko, who had outstanding athletic skills, was a kanazuchi, and that the story was a sad and touching story.


The last event on stage was the announcement of the 20th anniversary project, "Witch Apprentice wo Sagashite" (Searching for the Witch Apprentice), a movie. Producer Hiromi Seki told the audience that the production of the movie "Witch Apprentice wo Sagashite" was decided to be made in order to re-create the world of Ojamajo Doremi for those who watched the series back then and are now adults, who must be between the ages of 19 and 26. The film is being produced by the staff members of the original TV series.


Ms. Miyahara said, "All the members are grateful that so many people support us and come to see us even though it has been many years since the show ended, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again as the 20th anniversary is coming and many things will happen. I look forward to seeing you all again. Let's all get excited together."

Mr. Shishido: "I feel like today is the beginning of a long journey for many of our guests. When I saw the movie clip I just saw, my eyes started to well up as well. Our voices are still going strong too, so I hope we can keep up the good work!"

Matsuoka: "I am glad that we were able to hold this event with people who were watching Ojamajo Doremi back then. Now I hope we can follow them all over Japan and meet you all. Thank you so much!"

Ms. Akiya: "There are many events coming up for the 20th anniversary, so I hope to see you all again!

Chiba: "I think that the 20th anniversary will mark the start of a new "Ojamajo Doremi," so I hope that everyone will join me in being excited and having fun as we move forward to the 25th and 30th anniversaries!

The stage ended with a message from all the cast members saying, "Please come and look for the Ojamajo!
