The third season of the TV series will finally start airing on October 22, 2019 at 25:29 midnight on Tuesdays, about 6 years after the previous "Chihayafuru 2". Ahead of the broadcast, a character PV of Arata Wataya, a karuta prodigy, has been released. The PV looks back on the first and second seasons of the anime "Chihayafuru," from Arata's setback to his comeback, and it is a PV that will make expectations for the third season grow.

Arata Wataya, whose grandfather is an Eimei Meijin, transferred to Tokyo when he was in elementary school and met the innocent Chihaya Ayase. Through karuta (Japanese playing cards), he is joined by Taichi Majima, and the three develop a friendship. After graduating from elementary school, Shin returns to Fukui, where his grandfather lives, but the death of his grandfather forces him to take a break from competitive karuta.

Thanks to the abiding friendship between Chihaya and Taichi, Arata returns to the competitive karuta front, struggles to make up for his blanks, and finally wins the individual championship of the national tournament.
