Recombine the parts freely to create your own original mecha! I played with Bandai's "Animagear! Recommended! Shokugan Road Vol.3

Hello everyone! This is Kariyasu☆, a hobby writer. In this corner, I will be reviewing, modifying, and playing around with Shokugan kits that interest me under the theme of "Shokugan for adults. In this third installment, I would like to introduce you to Animagear, which is currently on sale from Bandai!

Animagear is a new series of plastic toy kits that Bandai has launched. Under the concept of "New Generation Buddy Hobby," you can assemble, modify, and play with the near-future mecha that resemble all kinds of living creatures. Currently, the first five models are on sale, and an original story is currently being developed on the official website.

By the way, according to the official setting,

＜Animagear is a next-generation new sensation hobby that has exploded in the digitalized near future, and is like a partner for children. It is made up of a combination of three gears: the "bone frame," a super-mobile general-purpose frame that memorizes the movements of all living things; the "nick cowl," armor generated from nano alloy; and the "blood sticker," a converted film that converts sunlight into energy>.

First, let's make it as it is!

Although the selling price is inexpensive at about 400 yen, the contents are quite voluminous. The parts for the bone frame, which are common to all packages, the individual nick cowls and blood stickers for each kit are included, and the assembly instructions are printed on the back of the box. Below is a description of each aircraft.

Galeo Striker. This lion-shaped animagia excels in high-speed combat using the boosters on its back. It is the partner of the main character, Kyou Amakusa.

Dualize Beetle. A beetle-shaped animagia that excels in hand-to-hand combat using two swords that can be used as both weapons and shields.

Arms Guillotecker. A crayfish-shaped animagia that fights with a cannon for long-range attacks and scissors for close-range attacks.

Sonic Egrit. An eagle-shaped animagear, it excels at hit-and-away attacks using a small shotgun and its claws.

Dualize Kabuto Army Type. A minor change from the Dualize Kabuto, it has high computing power during battle, allowing it to develop tactics that match the situation. It omits the conversational and digital functions of normal animagia.

The number of parts is not large, so each kit could be built in about one to two hours. Points to note are,

Some joints of the parts are hard, so be careful not to put too much force on them and damage them.

Be sure not to misorient the parts.

(The surface of plastic is slippery and the sticker can easily come off, so it is recommended to lightly rub the surface with a sponge file before applying the sticker, and finally stick the sticker firmly on top with a cotton swab or something. (It is recommended to use a cotton swab to firmly adhere the sticker to the surface.)

We tried making a completely original animagear! Five body parts are used in good balance, and the prominent parts are smudged. The parts of the Galeo Striker are particularly white, so smudging the parts will make the mold stand out and make it look cool. Mixing and building, where you can freely combine various parts to create your own unique aircraft, is a field that requires not only skill, but also a sense of style. Repainting and changing the color of the aircraft yourself will add even more fun to the process.

Smudging...... is a technique in which enamel-based paint is diluted with a special solvent and poured into the model's concave areas to darken them and create a three-dimensional effect. Once you experience the sensation of the paint flowing smoothly through the capillary action, it is inevitable that you will become addicted to it!

This December, the "Berserk Soul" version will be released in a different color from the five models introduced here, and in January next year, five new models will be released as the second series. We are looking forward to the future product development and media mix. We will see you again!
