Strike the Blood" is an anime work based on the light novel series by Gakuto Mikumo. The action fantasy depicts the story of the world's most powerful vampire and the sword maiden who watches over him. The TV anime aired from October 2013 to March 2014, followed by the release of the pre- and post-OVA series from November to December 2015. The second OVA series "Strike the Blood II" was released from November 2016 to April 2017, andit has been announced that thenew OVA "Strike the Blood III"will be releasedsequentially in five volumes starting in December.
