Commemorating the release of the CD "OTOGI NO MUSIC - CHRONICLE"] First Relay Interview with "Momotroop" - Exterminating demons through royal road rock! Interview with "Momotroop

Characters from fairy tales form a music unit! The character content "Otogi-no-Fu - CHRONICLE~", in which each unit performs a live battle, is now in full swing.

Otogi-no-ufu ~CHRONICLE~" is a story of a world woven by unique characters and music based on the motif of "fairy tales" that everyone knows. Sun-X, which has created popular characters such as "Rilakkuma" and "Sumikko Gurashi," and Nippon Columbia have teamed up to launch the series in 2017.

The story is about a group of characters called "utaibito" (songwriters) who repeatedly compete in live battles to fulfill their desires.

Since the project started in October 2017, it has mainly focused on illustration galleries and story introductions on the official website, but on March 27, 2019, the single CD will be released in full!

Akiba Research Institute" therefore conducted a relay interview with each of the units, which have finally made their CD debuts! In addition to introducing the music played by "Utaibito," we asked about the members' characters and personalities, as well as the "end" they hope to achieve!

This interview will surely give you a better understanding of their charms.

In this first installment, we will introduce "Momotroop. A rock band on the high road consisting of Momose (CV: Sogo Nakamura) on vocals and guitar, Trisawa (CV: Mahiro Yamanaka) on guitar, Inutake (CV: Kentaro Kumagai) on bass, and Saruhashi (CV: Yokota Suzuki) on drums.

The four members lead the way with the powerful lead song "Liberty". ......?

--What kind of unit are you guys?

Momose: The four of us are what you might call childhood friends, and well, we ended up doing songs together for various reasons. ......

Saruhashi: That's why we get along so well!

Inutake: No, that's not what they're asking you, is it?

Trisawa: That's right! I'm more interested in the musicality of the music. ......

Saruhashi: Is that so? Well then, Trisawa, please explain!

Trisawa: Eh, eh! い、いきなりそんな……ええええええと……あわわわ……。

Inutake, I can't answer that.

Momose, please answer that part!

--What do you like about the members and what do you find attractive about them?

Momose Well, it's a little awkward to say it in front of him again. ...... First of all, I would say that Trisawa is the most serious and methodical of the four of us. I'm not sure if I'd be able to do it in front of him again.

Trisawa: No~ I am embarrassed.

Momose Inutake is a good bass player, but he's always trying to look cool .......

Inutake: I'm raising the level of your coolness because you guys are so sloppy. You should be grateful.

Momose Oh, and Inutake, in spite of his appearance, he loves sweets.

Inutake Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!

Momose: Saruhashi is a cheerful and mood-maker. But he is also a mood-maker.

Saruhashi : I don't know if that's true. I haven't really thought about it!

--How did the four of you come to meet and what are some of your most memorable episodes regarding the formation of the unit?

Momose: I guess you could say we met ...... because we have known each other since childhood, and when we came to our senses, we were all around each other ....... I don't have any particularly moving memories of our encounters. ......

Inutake: I found myself eating finger dumplings at Momo's house.

Saruhashi I was often at Momochan's house!

Trisawa: Momose's house was very cozy!

Momose You should be thankful to your grandma and grandpa for always feeding you millet dumplings, you guys!

--What is the band's musical style?

Saruhashi: Torichichi! See, the one I couldn't answer earlier!

Trisawa!!! Eh, uh, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah... ......

Inutake Hey, Trisawa. You're at it again! You should put it all together!

Momose I'm not sure if it's the musicality ......, but I'm hoping to make a score that's exciting and motivating and has a good groove to it. ......

Inutake: That's messy.

Saruhashi: Haha, I kinda get it.

Momose Sorry, it's quite difficult!

Trisawa Yes, that's right, Inutake! It's very difficult!

Inutake Okay, okay, my bad.

--What can you tell us about the songs you have released this time?

Momose: "Liberty" is a song that contains our determination, or rather, this one thing we can't give up! I guess "Liberty" is our determination, or the one thing we won't give up! Imperfect" is a song about the frustration of having dreams and hopes, but not being able to achieve what you want.

Trisawa: Please listen to my guitar solo!

Inutake: Suddenly you're appealing to only one person?

Momose Anyway, I think they are both really cool and you will like them, so please give them a listen!

Saruhashi I'm doing my best on the drums too!

Inutake I'm also putting a lot of effort into playing the bass guitar, so please listen to it.

--I'm playing the bass guitar as well, so please listen to it.

Momose: I want to beat all the demons to death!

Inutake: And bring peace to my hometown!

Trisawa: That's all I have to say!

Saruhashi I have nothing more to say. ...... I'm so full of Kibidango (sweet red bean paste)!

Momose Hey...!

Inutake, that's not cool. ......

--I'm not a fan of the "inutake", but it's cute in its smaller form, by the way! (Note: When the score person takes damage, he changes his appearance into a mini-character called "Mute.)

Inutake: ...... I ain't happy to be told I'm cute.

Momose Inutake. I'm not happy when people say I'm cute.

Inutake: You're a real hussy. .......

Trisawa, I'm glad to hear that. By the way, I am not a pigeon! I am a pheasant!

Momose: When saruhashi are mute, they look kind of big and it makes me a little angry.

Trisawa I think Momose is good with that small size.

Saruhashi No, Torisawa. Momose, I'm a little concerned about that size.

--Finally, any comments for our readers?

Momose: We have an important dream to defeat the demons and save our hometown. For that reason, we will continue to make our own unique score that no one else can beat, so I hope you will support us. I hope you will support us!

Inutake: That's right. Our journey is still going on, so please continue to follow us.

Trisawa: I will do my best, so I hope everyone will support me! Please give me your best regards!

Saruhashi: I feel like I can play the drums much harder with everyone's help, so please support me a lot~!
