Sword Art Online Concept Cafe" will open soon in Osaka!

In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of "Sword Art Online," it was announced that a concept cafe "SAO cafe" will open in Osaka as a "SAO transmission base.

The TV anime "SWORD ART ONLINE" is based on a novel by Reki Kawahara (published by KADOKAWA). The story is about a boy named Kirito who is trapped in a virtual reality space within a game, and he and his friends challenge a deadly battle in order to clear the game. The first season of the TV anime was broadcast in 2012, followed by the second season in 2002, and "Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale" was released in 2005 and became a blockbuster hit, grossing over 4.3 billion yen at the box office worldwide. In October 2019, "Sword Art Online Arisimation War of Underworld," the latest in the series, will begin airing.

Sword Art Online" (hereafter, SAO) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and has been developed into many media mixes such as novels, animations, and games. The latest TV anime series, "SWORD ART ONLINE ARISATION: War of Underworld," began airing this October, and its popularity continues unabated.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of SAO, a concept cafe "SAO cafe" will open in Osaka as a "SAO transmission base.

Focusing on the SAO anime and game, SAO cafe will be operated as a SAO information dissemination base with the concept of "a space where you can enjoy SAO" through menus, goods, events, etc., without any boundaries between the anime and the game.

The café menu will include dishes from the anime and the original story, as well as character-inspired drinks and other items that will satisfy not only the eye but the palate as well.
