A cast group photo and main cast comments have arrived from "Gegege no Kitaro," which will finally enter its second year in April 2019.

Gegege no Kitaro" is a popular anime based on the late Shigeru Mizuki's manga, which has been animated five times and "Graveyard Kitaro," a faithful adaptation of the original manga, has also been produced. This year marks the 50th anniversary of "Gegege no Kitaro" being adapted into an anime, and the sixth series, which began airing on Sunday, April 1, 2018, centers on Mana, a 13-year-old girl who writes a letter to the Yokai Post, and Kitaro and the other Yokai in an attempt to deal with a situation that science has been unable to solve. The main cast consists of Miyuki Sawashiro as Kitaro, Masako Nozawa as Oyaji, Toshio Furukawa as Nezumi Otoko, Umeika Shoji as Neko Musume, and Yukiyo Fujii as Mana Inuyama, a new character.

Miyuki Sawashiro as Kitaro
Well, after finishing the last recording of the first year, which felt quite exhausting, I was mentally a little out of breath (smiles), but I am truly grateful that the goal of the first year became the start of the second year. I would like to express my deep appreciation for your support. Kitaro seems to have set himself an even more daunting mission this term...! I am determined to take on the challenge of the second year, which will be more powerful, and to make sure I don't miss out on anything.

When I think about reflection, all sorts of things come up.... As Oyaji Medama, my wish is to keep the Gegege forest a little more peaceful.

Toshio Furukawa as Rat Man
I think the greatest feature of the sixth season of "Gegege no Kitaro" is that it has boldly rearranged the original story while respecting the world view of the original work.
The script sharply tackles contemporary events, the visuals of Neko Musume, the subtitle that is difficult for children to understand, etc. In a word, the "Gegege Kitaro" is a very "aggressive" and "aggressive" story. The same peaceful time seems to be passing in the Gegege forest, with the teacup bath of the eyeball father, and the noisy conversation of the crying grandpa and the sandbag granny. However, something is wrong with Kitaro...he seems to be looking for something with old man Kagami.
