Popular Chinese anime becomes a game! PS4 "MONKEY KING Hero is Back" Released. New trailer and DLC information!

Sony Interactive Entertainment released "MONKEY KING Hero is Back" for PlayStation 4 on October 17, 2019.

MONKEY KING Hero is Back is based on the CG animated film that was an unprecedented hit in China in 2015. This action-adventure game depicts the adventures of the Great Sage Qi Tian (Sun Wukong, hereafter: Great Sage), who has been freed from a long seal, and a young boy named "Koryuji".

The game offers a fusion of the never-before-seen Chinese myth "New Journey to the West" and comical and flashy kung-fu action in an adventure adventure action game.

In addition, two new trailers have been released to commemorate the release of the game. The "Story Trailer" shows the highlights of the story of this title, while the "Untold Story Trailer" introduces the process of the production team turning a CG animation film into a game.

The two additional story download contents (DLC) for "MONKEY KING: The Hero is Back" will be available on the PlayStation Store, each of which will feature a new stage and a new story. The DLCs will be available on the PlayStation Store.

The "MONKEY KING Hero is Back" game is required to play the additional story DLC.
