Platinum Train," a driver-growing railroad gorokoku game operated by J-Contents, Inc., has received a major update as ver. 7.0.

Platinum Train" is a new type of driver-growing sugoroku RPG developed by JR West Communications Inc. and operated by J-Contents Inc.

The service was launched on May 17, 2016 and has gained popularity as a new type of smartphone application that allows players to play with realistic train lines and trains using actual trains and stations from JR West, JR Shikoku, JR Kyushu, JR Tokai, etc., as well as multiplayer matches and play using GPS location information functions. A downloadable version was also released on Nintendo Switch on December 21, 2017.

The latest update, ver. 7.0 "Platinum Train National Version," finally renews the game to a national version with the implementation of JR East area routes and trains. more than 200 trains from JR East and JR Hokkaido areas have also been introduced all at once.

In addition, the "National Area Support Battle" event commemorating the expansion of the national train lines, the new story mode "Station Story 2", and a new tutorial that allows players to start from the East Japan area are also included.

In addition, a new character has been introduced. The new characters are played by Marei Uchida as Tsubasa Shikishima and Ayane Sakura as Hokuto Hakodate. The characters were designed by illustrator En Morikura.
