Logitech G CUP 2019, an amateur e-sports tournament, will be held, with entries starting on October 21!

Logitech Corporation announced today that it will host this year's Logitech G CUP 2019, the largest festival in Japan that brings together promising eSports players from all over Japan to determine the best amateur teams and players in Japan.Entries will be accepted from Monday, October 21, 2019, with the online qualifiers will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019, and the offline finals on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

The Logitech G CUP was established to promote the spread of e-sports in Japan by expanding the base of players, revitalizing the community, and encouraging the formation of teams, and this fifth edition will feature a new competitive title, Fortnite, for the first time.

The qualifying round will be held online, and a total of 48 teams of 96 players will be selected from a maximum of 49 teams x 12 groups. On the day of the offline finals, a total of 49 groups of 98 players will compete, consisting of the 48 groups of 96 who have passed the qualifying rounds and those who participate in the general lottery on the day of the event. In addition, players from the professional gaming team "Crazy Raccoon" will be on hand for exhibition matches and social events to liven up the competition.


The winning team will receive 300,000 yen worth of Logitech G products, the runner-up 150,000 yen worth of Logitech G products, and the third-place team 50,000 yen worth of Logitech G products, as well as an invitation to a boot camp tour in North America.

Transportation, accommodation, and other expenses associated with participation in the offline finals are basically the responsibility of the individual. The maximum amount of 10,000 yen will be supported for the cost of participating in the offline finals.
