A new combat mode, "Retrieval Rush," is now available in "Red Dead Online!

Rockstar Games has added a new combat mode, "Retrieval Rush," to the "Red Dead Online" online mode (currently in beta testing) of its "Red Dead Redemption 2" software for PS4/Xbox One.

Red Dead Redemption 2" is the sequel title to "Red Dead Redemption," an open-world action adventure set in frontier America. Players take on the role of Arthur Morgan, a member of the Dutch gang, and must survive in a world of outlaws.

The game takes place in the United States in 1899, as the pioneer era is coming to an end. Arthur Morgan and the Dutch Gang are forced to flee after a major robbery gone wrong in the western town of Blackwater. Pursued by federal agents and bounty hunters from all over the country, the gang's only way to survive is to rob, violate, and steal in the wilds of America, but the more involved they become in the struggle, the more they are in danger of being torn apart. Arthur is forced to choose between his ideals and his loyalty to the gang that raised him.

The beta test of "Red Dead Online," the online mode of this title, is currently underway.

The "Retrieval Rush" is now available in the "Red Dead Online" beta!
In the new combat mode "Retrieval Rush," added to the "Red Dead Online" beta, players will battle rivals in settlements where resources are in short supply. Work with your team to get supplies from the central area and transport them to your team's base.

Supplies can be obtained from the central area or strategically taken from your opponent's base. But beware. While carrying supplies, your location will be revealed to other players. Maintain your base life, stamina, and dead eye, and use tonic drugs to boost your gauge as you head out to secure supplies. It is also important to take advantage of team-based dead eye ability cards, such as "Focused Attack," which slightly increases the damage your allies deal while using dead eye.

As an added bonus, through April 15, various coats, holsters, boots, and gloves with a rank limit of up to 40 will be accessible to all players, regardless of rank. For higher-ranked players, the Turkoman, Missouri Foxtrotter, and Arab Horse will be accessible starting at rank 40, and the Volatile Dynamite, Incendiary Scattershot, Bursting Slug Bullets, High Velocity Burst Bullets, and Dynamite Arrow pamphlets will be accessible starting at rank 60.
