The first day performance of the live event "Princess Principal THE LIVE Yuki Kajiura x Void_chords" was held at the Maihama Amphitheater on Saturday, October 19, 2019.

The five girls are high school girls who attend the prestigious Queen's Mayfair School, and they hide behind the fact that they are spies for different countries. The five girls use their status as high school girls attending the prestigious Queen's Mayfair School as a cover to carry out various missions in the capital city of London, which has become the front line of the "Shadow War" in which spies from various countries are engaged in dark deeds.

It has already been announced that the first chapter of the long-awaited sequel "Princess Principal Crown Handler" will be released in theaters on April 10, 2020. The official report from the first day of the live performance where the OP theme was performed for the first time has arrived, and we would like to introduce it to you.

The first day performance of "Princess Principal THE LIVE Yuki Kajiura x Void_Chords," a live event for the TV anime "Princess Principal," was held on Saturday, October 19 at Maihama Amphitheater in Chiba, Japan. Void_Chords, an artist project by Yuki Kajiura, who created the music for the play, and musician Ryo Takahashi, who created the theme song and character songs, performed live many of the famous songs that colored the world of the work, and many fans were intoxicated by their sound.

Kajiura and Takahashi, together with their respective bands, performed songs rearranged for the event along with visual effects from the anime. Void_Chords, featuring up-and-coming singer-songwriter Yui Mugino on vocals, began with the OP theme song "The Other Side of the Wall," followed by numbers inspired by the world view and characters of "Puripuri" in a special version with English lyrics for this performance. The performance will be a special version with English lyrics for this show. The songs ranged from groovy up-tempo tunes to romantic ballads, but Yui Mugino sang them beautifully, matching the expressions of the songs.

A pleasant surprise was the first performance of the new OP theme song "LIES & TIES" from the sequel "Princess Principal Crown Handler," the first chapter of which is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 10, 2020! The last song was "A Page of My Story," the ending song of the TV anime.

Yuki Kajiura's live performance was followed by a gathering of the talented musicians who are also familiar with her solo project, FictionJunction. The cool motifs of the main theme "shadows and fog" and other background music were performed by a heavy ensemble including violin and saxophone/flute, creating a steampunk London scene at the Amphitheater, where Angel and Team Shirohato are active. While the middle part of the performance shows a glimpse of the girls' daily lives, the last part of the performance is filled with a sense of urgency reminiscent of a grueling mission.

The famous song "moonlight melody," which became a topic of conversation as an insert song for the TV anime episode 7 "case18 Rouge Morgue," was sung by the four divas, KAORI, KEIKO, YURIKO KAIDA and Joelle, and the audience joined in with their beautiful singing, creating a sense of unity in the venue. The audience was enveloped in a sense of unity.

In the end, the members of Void_Chords led by Takahashi came on stage for a dream collaboration, with the two bands performing "shadows and fog," bringing the live show to a grand conclusion with a gorgeous session through the musical world of "Puripuri.

The second day of "Princess Principal THE LIVE Yuki Kajiura x Void_Chords" will be held at the same venue on October 20 (Sun.), and tickets will be sold on the day of the performance.
