ASTRO C40 TR Controller, a PS4 licensed professional game controller, is now available.

Logitech Corporation will release the ASTRO C40 TR Controller (C40), a PlayStation 4 licensed controller, from the ASTRO Gaming brand on Thursday, November 28, 2019. The reference price is 29,920 yen (tax included).

The C40 is a custom controller with wireless and wired connectivity, compatible with both PlayStation 4 and PC. The "TR" in the product name stands for Tournament Ready, and in addition to its design, the "C40" offers convenience and functionality designed for use in professional tournaments.

In addition, the "C40" is highly customizable. In addition to button assignments, users can customize the placement of the analog sticks and D-pad, as well as the length of the analog sticks, to accommodate a variety of playing styles.

Two rear buttons on the back of the unit expand the gameplay, and software available on a PC can be used to set analog stick and trigger button sensitivity settings, equalizer settings, and other detailed settings. A dedicated carrying case is also included for compact transportation of the main unit and cables.

By removing the cover using the included tool, the analog sticks and D-pad can be attached, removed, and replaced freely. For example, you can choose a longer analog stick with a concave top for delicate operations such as driving and aiming, or replace the D-pad on the upper left with a lower one.

The two rear buttons on the back of the unit can be assigned to any button or function using the " program button " in the center of the rear panel or the ASTRO C40 TR configuration software (download required). This is useful for quickly changing items in a game or switching viewpoints.

Customization with dedicated software
Using the "ASTRO C40 TR Configuration Software" (download required ), users can adjust the sensitivity of the analog sticks and the depth of response of the trigger on the top of the device, in addition to the button assignment settings, while actually operating the device. In addition to the equalizer, the audio settings can be adjusted for the sidetone that returns your voice picked up by the headset's microphone.

Furthermore, if a 2.4GHz wireless transmitter is plugged into the PlayStation 4 console, it can switch to a wireless connection at any time. A single full charge provides 12 hours of continuous use, allowing for long hours of play.
