SEE offers PlayStation Network online ID change feature today, April 11!

Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. launched the PlayStation Network (PSN) online ID change feature today, Thursday, April 11.

This feature allows users to change their PSN online ID on PlayStation 4 (PS4), web browser, and PlayStation App (PS App).

Overview of the online ID change function
This feature will allow users to change their PSN online ID on PS4, web browser, and PS App.
The first change is free of charge. The first change is free of charge, but subsequent changes will cost 1,000 yen (tax included) per change. (500 yen (tax included) for PlayStation Plus subscribers)
When you change your online ID, you can choose to display or hide your previous ID in your profile for 30 days after the change is made (please note that you cannot change the display/hide setting after the change is completed).
There is no limit to the number of times you can change your online ID.

How to change your Online ID
＜(1) Open the Settings menu on your PS4.
1) Open the Settings menu on your PS4.
2) Select "Account Management" > "Account Information" > "Profile" > "Online ID".
Enter the Online ID you wish to change, or select one of the "Recommended Online IDs".
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to complete the change procedure.

＜Web Browser
1) Sign in to PSN, open "Account Management", and select "PSN Profile".
②Click the Edit button that appears next to your Online ID.
Enter the Online ID you wish to change, or select one of the "Recommended Online IDs".
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to complete the change procedure.

<PS App> (1) Open the profile screen.
(1) Open the profile screen, select the "Edit Profile" button, and then select "Other Profile Settings".
2) Select the "Edit" button displayed next to your online ID.
(3) Enter the Online ID you wish to change, or select one of the "Recommended Online IDs".
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to complete the change procedure.

■Notes
Some PS4 software titles and content released before April 1, 2018 (Sunday) may not be compatible with this function, and may not work properly, for example, errors may occur. Please check the list of tested titles for details.
PS4 titles first released on or after Sunday, April 1, 2018 have been developed to support the Online ID Change feature. However, we cannot guarantee that these titles will also be fully compatible with the Online ID Change feature.
*When we conducted the preview program for this feature in October 2018, we informed you that PS4 software titles first released on or after April 1, 2018 (Sunday) would be compatible with this feature, but as a result of the preview program, we found cases where some titles were not fully compatible. However, as a result of the preview program, we have found cases where some titles are not fully supported, so we hereby make this correction.
You can always revert back to the online ID you used in the past for free. In the unlikely event that you experience any problems due to a change in your online ID, most of these problems can be resolved by reverting to your previous online ID. The information of your previous online ID will be retained, and other users will not be able to use that ID.
