Marie Uchida released her first photo book in about 4 years. The photos were shot entirely on location in France, against the backdrop of the emotional scenery of Normandy and the urban streets of Paris, and showcased her in out-of-the-ordinary outfits and dresses, as well as in casual outfits such as loungewear and denim. Sometimes they show their innocent cuteness, and sometimes they show their mature atmosphere. The book is filled with the multifaceted character of Marie Uchida, showing various aspects of her that no one has ever seen before.

On this day, in addition to the event, Uchida also took the stage at a press conference held to commemorate the release of the photo book. About her first photo book in four years, she said, "The first book was more like 'Please get to know me.' The title was 'Maya,' and it was a photo book for people to see me without coloring or dressing up. But from there, I was given a variety of colors. I was able to see the atmosphere that I couldn't have had back then, that I had grown up, that I had this kind of face, and that I had grown up, and when I took a break in the midst of continuing my activities without stopping, I was able to see things in the moment they became photographs.

When asked by a reporter, "Why the timing of the publication? When the Budokan (live concert) was decided, I said, "If we are going to do the Budokan on New Year's, let's do a photo book too! When the Budokan (live concert) was decided, we got into a weird mood and said, 'If we're going to do the Budokan on New Year's, let's take pictures too! In fact, the day after the New Year live performance at the Nippon Budokan on January 1, Uchida left for the location for the photo book.

In addition, the mature and different cuts in the new collection are also attracting a lot of attention. As soon as the first shots were released, there was a lot of talk even before the release of the book. Uchida said of her appearance, "It's not that I was aggressive, but there are a lot of mature photos. I usually play student roles as a voice actress, so it's like a completely different image of my real self, different from what (fans) imagined, I think I'm even more of a Marie Uchida than I imagined," she commented.

As for the title "etoile," she said, "It means 'star' in French. I wondered what my fans thought of me. I am also an artist, and one of my songs has the word "star" in it. I thought that "star" might be close to my ideal image that everyone has of me. I chose this word out of several candidates," she said, expressing her feelings toward her fans. He expressed his confidence in the title he had chosen.

The photo book seems to be well received by those around her. "When I go to the office, my fellow voice actors read the photo book on display and say, 'Oh, here comes the real thing! I'm embarrassed, so I hide. I hide because I'm embarrassed, but... (laugh). (Laughs). I'm happy that so many people have seen it," she said.

The setting for the photo book was France in winter. It was my first time there, so I wasn't sure what I would be able to capture, but the atmosphere in Honfleur, Deauville, and Paris were all warm. Even though the air was cold, it was warm and embraced me. The first shot I took after arriving in France was the one with the big hat, and I really like the outfit because it blends in with the city. I also like the shot of me in the black outfit, as if the city and I are linked.

I went to the hill in the background of the shot with the red coat, and I felt like I was in an RPG world," she said, adding, "It's like Final Fantasy! It's like Final Fantasy! It was like a Final Fantasy! As a video game fan, it was the point where I got excited," she said.

As for why France was chosen as the filming location, she said, "I had many ideas, but the cameraman and editor looked at my atmosphere and past photos and suggested that a French town would be a good fit. When asked, "Which country would you like to visit next? I would like to go to a tropical country in a warmer season. I would like to go to a city with bright colors or a southern island, where I can take pictures with a completely different taste. I'd like to go to a city with flirty colors or to a southern island. I'm not sure if that's what they want me to do. I'm not sure (laughs). (Laughs) Maybe when I have more confidence in myself.

He said, "At first, I had an image of lying on the beach, wearing sunglasses, and vacationing in a warm southern country, like the west coast of Australia, but I thought something was different. But something was different, and I found myself going to France, where it was extremely cold. My plans fell through," she said with a wry smile. However, "I am very happy with the outcome of the photo book (in France). It was really cold, but it was fun.

At the event, an autograph session was held for 400 people who were selected in a drawing among those who purchased the photo book. The red coat outfit and the more mature cut were popular among the fans who came to the event. I couldn't ask her about the details, so I thought I'd ask you about the details as well," she said. I couldn't ask about the details, so I'd like to hear if anyone likes them after this," she said, looking forward to the events that will continue after the press conference.
