The TV anime, "Don't Mess with the Video Lab! is a series of stories serialized in Shogakukan's "Gekkan! Spirits" by Shogakukan. Midori Asakusa, a first-year high school student, loves animation so much that she insists that "the setting is the life" of animation. She has been drawing various ideas in her sketchbook, but has been unable to take the first step toward animation production, saying that she cannot act alone. Sayaka Kanamori, who has a producer's temperament, was the first to notice Asakusa's talent. Furthermore, it turns out that her classmate Mizusaki Tsubame, a charismatic reader model, is actually an aspiring animator, and the three of them decide to establish the Visual Image Research Institute to express the "strongest world" in their brains. ......

Mutsuki Tamura will play Sayaka Kanamori, who has no interest in or knowledge of anime, but will play the role of producer, and Misato Matsuoka will play Tsubame Mizusaki, a charismatic reader model and aspiring animator. In addition, three new characters were announced: Yumiri Hanamori as the sound advisor, Mikako Komatsu as the student council secretary, and Kazuhiko Inoue as the image lab advisor.

Her dream is to one day go on a great adventure in the "strongest world" of her own design.

Sayaka Kanamori (CV: Mutsushin Tamura)

A classmate of Midori Asakusa. She is tall and has beautiful legs. She has no interest in or knowledge of anime, but for some reason she is interested in Asakusa and hangs out there. She loves activities that generate money and thinks of ways to make money even in casual conversation. Since the establishment of the Film and Video Lab, he has taken on the role of producer as the only realist in the group. He also shows great skill in negotiations with the school and the student council. While he appreciates Asakusa and Mizusaki's abilities, he is often troubled by their creative natures.

Mr. Kanamori is a very intelligent person. Without her ability to make money and round people up, the Institute of Image Research would not exist! But they are all such people! There are so many people who radiate strong personalities, so I wanted to play my role with a strong individuality so that I wouldn't be buried in the crowd! I wanted to make sure that I didn't get buried in all of the strong personalities in the film, so I wanted to make my performance strong and individual! The same goes for the sound! Mizusaki Tsubame (CV. Misato Matsuoka)

A classmate of Midori Asakusa. She is a charismatic reader model and a celebrity on campus. Both of her parents are actors, and Tsubame is expected to become an actress in the future. However, she herself aspires to be an animator, and is particularly skilled at drawing the movements of characters. Since her parents forbade her from joining the Animation Club, she started making animation together with Asakusa and Kanamori as the three of them in the Visual Image Club. Because she grew up in a rich family, her sense of money is quite different from the other two.

Momomeki (CV: Yumiri Hanamori)

The only member of the Sound Department. She joined the club because of the vast amount of sound files in storage, but the student council demands that she vacate part of the warehouse. He is approached by the Institute of Image Arts and Sciences (IMS), and on the condition that he borrows a room in the clubroom, he becomes the IMS's sound advisor.

Sakaki Sawande (CV. Mikako Komatsu)

A female student who serves as secretary in the student council. She is considered to be the behind-the-scenes powerhouse of the student council, with a better ability to see the true nature of things than the opportunistic student council president. She seems to be concerned about the "Visual Image Research Institute," which is known for its aggressive activities, but her true intentions are unclear.

Mr. Fujimoto (CV: Kazuhiko Inoue)

He is the advisor of the Institute of Image Arts and Sciences. He has a magnificent mustache like a great historical figure. He does not give instructions without nagging, but leaves the students to their own initiative in their daily activities. His hobby is playing games.
