New Sakura Wars" software for PlayStation 4 is scheduled to be released on December 12, 2019 (Thursday) by Sega Games Co. The first volume of its comic book adaptation, "Shin Sakura Taisen the Comic," will be released on December 19, 2019 (Thursday). On the same day, the novel "Shin Sakura Taisen the Novel ~Hizakura no Koro~" will also be released.

What is "Shin Sakura Taisen"?
Shin Sakura Taisen" is a dramatic 3D action-adventure game set in the fictional Imperial capital of Tokyo in the Taisho Era, and follows the exploits of the "Teikoku Kagekidan" as they fight against evil. The main character design is by Kubo Taito, known as the creator of the manga "BLEACH" serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha). The music is by Kouhei Tanaka, who has provided many songs for previous titles in the series. The story will be written by Ishiijiro, who is active in a variety of media, including games, TV animation, and movies.

Comic book adaptation
Shin Sakura Taisen the Comic" is a comic adaptation of the game "Shin Sakura Taisen" currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump. The comic is written by Koyuri Noguchi, who also wrote "Kenkouki - Hinokuni Dai Teikoku Gun Kurenai Ikkitousen Tai" and "Ponchubu! and "Ponchubu!

The novel "Shin Sakura Taisen the Novel ~Hizakura no Koro~" is also newly written by Ayumi Mugi. It is a prequel to the main game, which tells the story of the encounter between Kanzaki Sumire, who is looking for her friends to rebuild the Hanagumi, and Amamiya Sakura and her friends.
