Kana Ichinose, Tomoaki Maeno, Ayaka Fukuhara and others talk about TV anime "Fairy gone" and its second cool season in official interviews.

Original TV animation "Fairy gone Fairy Gone" is currently airing its second season on TOKYO MX and other stations. An official interview with the main cast, Kana Ichinose, Tomoaki Maeno, Ayaka Fukuhara, Ayaka Suwa, Yoshiki Nakajima, and director Kenichi Suzuki, has just arrived, in which they discuss the highlights of the show.

The TV anime "Fairy gone Fairy Gone" is a new original anime directed by Kenichi Suzuki, who has worked on "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" and "Hataraku Cell". The series composition and script are by Ao Jumonji, writer of "Grimgal of Ashes and Fantasy" and "Rose Maria" (original story), the character and fairy designs are by Haruya Nakata, who is currently serializing "Levius/est" in Ultra Jump, and the character design is by Takako Shimizu of "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure", The music is produced by (K)NoW_NAME, which created all the music for "Grimgal of Ashes and Illusions" including the theme song, insert song, and BGM during the play. Animation production will be handled by P.A.WORKS, which also produced "SHIROBAKO" and "Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou.

The first season started as a spring 2019 anime and was well received. The second season, a sequel to the first, is airing from October 6, 2019 (Sun.) on TOKYO MX and other stations. The story has finally reached its climax.

We have recently received an official interview with the main cast and director Kenichi Suzuki about the highlights of "Fairy gone Fairy Gone," which has entered its second cool season.

--Kana Ichinose: We have finally started the second cool season of "Fairy gone Fairy Gone".
Kana Ichinose: We basically receive a script for each episode, so I only found out the ending of the story just before the last day of postrecording, but as a performer, I was glad I didn't know what was going to happen next.

Tomoaki Maeno: We were able to do postrecording without a gap between the first and second seasons, so it was easy for me to play the role because I didn't feel disconnected from the story. We felt a sense of excitement every week when we read the scripts, so I hope that everyone can experience that feeling of excitement this time.

Ayaka Fukuhara: It's almost time. Veronica didn't have much interaction with the other characters in the first season, so I feel strongly that she is finally ready for the real thing.

Ayaka Suwa: I am always on the edge of my seat because anyone could die (laughs).

Yoshiki Nakajima: The anticipation is really high. I am anxious to see if the fans are enjoying the show!

Director Kenichi Suzuki: I think we have created pictures that are as good as the cast's performances, and I can't wait for everyone to see them.

--I can't wait for everyone to see it.
Ichinose: In the first season, we saw the hardships of the members of Dorothea and their painful episodes, but I would like people to see how Maurya and the other members will fight back.

Maeno: As the story progresses, I feel that the interaction between Maurya and Veronica is returning to the old days, so I hope that the audience will look forward to seeing how the relationship will eventually settle down.

Fukuhara: In the first cool season, Veronica was hiding in the shadows by herself, saying "I will definitely get my revenge," but in the second season, we finally get to see her get to the bottom of it, so please pay attention to the scenes that are being depicted.

Suwa: That would be Clara and Serge. Personally, I would like to see more interaction between them!　Also, I hope you can feel the deepening of the bond between Maurya and Kulara.

Nakajima: I can't give you any specifics because it would be a spoiler, but there will be many unique new characters in the second season, so please enjoy it.

Director Suzuki: After all, it is what happens to the characters. I think every character will look suspicious, but I hope you will pay attention to how they will end up.

--Is there a scene in the first season that actually has an important meaning in the second season, or is there any scene that you would like us to pay attention to in ......?
Director Suzuki: There are words and phrases that were not explained in the first course, and these and other foreshadowing in the first course will be recovered. I think you will enjoy the story more if you watch it again from the beginning. Also, there are episodes of each character that were cut out in tears in order to depict the main line, and I would like to depict them if I have the chance.

--What were your impressions of the premium screening held on September 29?
Ichinose: We were very grateful that many fans came early in the morning and listened to our talk.

Maeno: We did go off on a tangent (laughs), but it was a fun at-home event. Above all, I was glad that we were able to see episodes 13 to 15 as soon as possible.

Fukuhara: Many people came to the event, and the event itself was very exciting. I hope I was able to convey some of the charm of the work to the audience.

Suwa: I was happy that we were able to show three episodes, but I went to the event with the feeling that "things are going to get more interesting from here" from episode 16 onward. I can't wait for people to see the rest of the show!

Nakajima: Yoshimasa Hosoya (who plays Wolfrun) had a lot of interesting things to say (laughs). The variety corner was fun, and I am glad that everyone seemed to enjoy the event.

--I heard that you have already finished recording for the second episode, so could you tell us about your character's growth since the first episode and how the relationship values with the other characters have changed?
Ichinose: I think Maurya has grown both mentally and technically thanks to the members of Dorothea. As a performer, I am happy that she has come to believe that she does not have to carry the burden by herself.

Maeno: Free is an upright person by nature, and I think he is clumsy. I hope to see more of him in the second season.

Fukuhara: I was thinking a lot about Veronica in the first season, "What kind of feelings does she have in this situation? Fukuhara: In the first season, I was thinking a lot about Veronica, "What kind of feelings does Veronica have in such situations? Rather than her growth, I like the fact that her inner thoughts are becoming clearer.

Suwa: I was moved when she invites Maurya to dinner with Serge. As I mentioned earlier, Serge and I didn't have that much of a connection in the first episode, even though we were working together, so please pay attention to the change in their relationship.

Nakajima: In the scene where Maurya and Kulara have dinner together, I could feel how cool he is. As someone in a position to encourage Maurya's growth, I was very happy to see that kind of scene.

--Lastly, could you give a message to the fans who are enjoying the second season of the show?
Ichinose: "Fairy gone Fairy Gone" is a work that you want to watch carefully in front of the screen, and I hope it will become such a work for you as well.

Maeno: How will you deal with the death of Oz, Dorothea's friend who was killed in the first episode?　Please look forward to the conclusion of the story and pay attention to how the story will be resolved.

Fukuhara: I think "Fairy gone Fairy Gone" is a film where you can enjoy both the hard-to-see emotions and the deepest parts of human beings and the cool parts that you can easily see with your eyes. I hope you will pay attention to the way it depicts people whose lives have been ruined by war.

Suwa: There are many scenes that expose human emotions, and I am also very moved by them. I hope you will pay attention to all the characters.

Nakajima: I don't want you to miss any of the exciting scenes, and I look forward to seeing the reactions of the viewers.
