Weekend Plastic Modeling by Taiyuki, Voice Actor! The 1st episode: Amazingly cool with just a little smudging! I made "MODEROID Shinkarion E7 Kagayaki"!

When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!

The concept is "even busy working people can make it this far on their weekends off. There are only two rules: bare bones assembly and a production period of one to two days! If you read this series, you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.

So, "Weekend Plastic Model Making by Voice Actor Taiyuki! The first installment has begun!

Part 1: "MODEROID" Shinkansen Transforming Robot Shinkarion Shinkarion E7 Kagayaki (Good Smile Company)

Drill" is a man's romance. The "Shinkarion E7 Kagayaki" is a plastic kit that fits into the "MODEROID" series from Good Smile Company. The machine excels in power and defense, and its coloring of white, blue, and gold is truly refreshing. In this day and age, it would be cool enough to be the main character of the series.
This kit does not transform into a bullet train, but that is why the style and mobility are so satisfyingly complete!

Moreover, the box is gorgeous, with the entire surface in full color. The box is fully colored, giving it a slightly more mature look than the Plarail "Shinkarion".

Inside are a total of 15 colorful runners. However, each piece is small, so there is nothing to be afraid of. Moreover, some of the parts are pre-painted.

In addition, there are stickers and full-color, easy-to-read assembly instructions.

During the assembly process, you can choose between two colors for the neck parts.

Although not included in the instruction manual, the front armor (part B7) has a part shape that could be made movable independently from left to right (at your own risk).

You can enjoy the pleasure of assembling the pre-painted parts, and other excitement awaits you during the assembly process.

Each unit looks like this. This is a typical division of a movable model. It took me about 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete this part. And then

Here is the assembled model. This is the state that the stickers are not attached yet. You can see it even in this state. It is a non-scale kit of about 13.5cm in height.

The back is also this dense. By the way, the hole in the center of the back is a 3mm joint, so it can be displayed using a commercially available stand.

The head and chest are also painted in advance.

The contrast between the mechanical part of the abdomen and the armored part is quite striking.

The back of the figure is not divided into many parts, but the details give it a dense feeling.

The coloring is truly divine, with gold-colored parts scattered in some parts. The wrist parts are only one of a kind. Adhesive is recommended for these parts only, but they can be assembled as they are.

The model is a non-transforming model, so it is fully movable. The elbows can be bent nearly 180 degrees. There is a mold of a door between vehicles on the side of the shoulder.

The folded armor on the sides of the legs is typical of Shinkarion. Molded Shinkansen wheels can be seen on the back of the legs. The artwork is very detailed!

Being a power type, the ankles have caterpillar molding.

The Sharyn Drill is only 4 parts and has such a high density. The grip part is particularly mechanical.

I was almost going to review the figure as is because I was so satisfied with the bare figure, but then I decided to put stickers on it. The stickers are really just to complement the colors of the small parts, but the stickers give the impression of being a little tighter.

Especially, the side parts of the legs are not so long now. There is no sticker to put on the back.
In addition

I added smudging to only the white and blue parts. This made the fine molding on each part stand out, and increased the amount of information and the sense of density. Not even partial painting was done. Isn't it too much?

The door-like molding on the side of the shoulder that I mentioned earlier is now clearly visible. The characteristic mold of the Shinkansen has been well incorporated into the mold of the robot.

After applying the stickers and applying the smudging, the impression of the leg armor was particularly changed. This is the area where the smudging had the greatest effect.

I think the face looks more dignified after applying the smudges.

From this point on, the figure was so cool that I took a lot of pictures of it in various poses, and it was difficult to choose the best ones. ...... Let's look further at the range of motion along with the photos.

First of all, the "S" standing, although it is not quite an "S".

Shoulder range of motion. The shoulder armor can be raised upward and horizontally using the ball joints. Of course, rotation is also possible. The shoulders can also rotate in a roll at the bottom of the shoulder armor.

The shoulder swings back and forth as shown.

Movable legs. Standing on knees is nothing to sneeze at.

On the contrary, the knee joints and knees are so flexible that you will soon be able to sit upright.

The legs can be opened to almost 180 degrees. It can stand on its own in this state.

The armoring on the hips doesn't inhibit much movement, so the legs can also be opened back and forth to nearly 180 degrees.

So, here are a few poses inspired by a fighting type aircraft.

The hips are ball-jointed and can be rotated about 45 degrees to the left and right, as well as slightly bent back and forth. The underside of the chest is also not missing!

Punch!

A fist thrusts into the ground!

Shalindril pierces the enemy!

「チュドーーーーーーン!!!!!」

But it can also be posed in cool poses! The side parts of the legs can be bent slightly to give the figure a flipped appearance.

As I mentioned earlier, a commercially available stand can be used, so from here on, I'll show you a pose using it.

Kick!

Gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Sharyn Drill's stance, this and that.

Just kidding, I'm holding both hands!

Leaving aside the flying ability, this is a nostalgic flying pose.

And the pose of standing on the quiet surface of the water, making small ripples. The driver is a hot-blooded man, so this is not what I had in mind, but the cool pose suits him.

These parts are used to recreate the link combined form with the Shinkarion E5 Hayabusa (sold separately).

If you have the E5 Hayabusa, please enjoy the linkage of the two!

This is an introduction of the "MODEROID Shinkarion E7 Kagayaki". This kit is very easy to assemble, including block-by-block assembly. While playing with it, some parts, such as the armored arms, may come off, but if you just glue those parts back on, you will have a finished product that is very easy to play with.
Thanks to the design, there are almost no seams between parts, making this kit easy to build for modelers who prefer to paint.
This makes me look forward to future lineups, including the Black Shinkarion. So when the Shinkarion series is released again, please let us know.

So, see you soon.
